The staff were friendly and helpful. The doctor was down-to-earth, friendly, knowledgeable, answered all my questions clearly, explained everything. I hope to see her again.

Dr. J Carmody- no!
Called for the on call provider and was told Dr would call within 30 minutes. She did not call so I called again. She called 30 minutes later, so that was about 1.25 hrs later. Most importantly she offered no apology- just blamed the answering service. She sounded annoyed that her evening was interrupted. She was rushed and uncaring. She suggested I flush my eye which has a contact in it and see someone Monday. When I asked one follow up question she chuckled and asked, “what do you want ME to do about it?” I can see why most reviews here are terrible. Others report the same experience. Such a negative experience with a provider who has clearly forgotten her oath to be empathic and do no harm. What a shame.

For several months and across several visits, Dr. Carmody misdiagnosed me with different minor eye disorders. After finally moving to a different doctor, I was diagnosed with a serious autoimmune disease that affects the eyes. There are a limited number of diseases that can affect the eyes in this way, and the one I have is one of the most common. However, she completely missed it. Limited knowledge. Unqualified.

Dr Carmody recently helped diagnose my son with a complicated eye disorder. As difficulty as this has been, we could not have asked for a more qualified, efficient and kind doctor to care for our son.
