I have had several visits with Dr. Cohen and really like her. I see Integrative Medicine as focusing on wellness in contrast to the focus on illness of traditional medicine. Dr. Cohen is empathetic, a good listener, relaxed, and she pinpointed the source of my high cholesterol (since I was following a low-fat, Mediterranean diet) as rooted in stress, which produces cortisol which in turn produces cholesterol, and connected me with the department's wonderful meditation teacher. In the past 6 months, my formerly intractable cholesterol has dropped 50 points and is well on its way to normal!
