Excellent Dr. & detailed in your healthcare.
I read her question's I had & she listened to me carefully & gave me two referral's. In this fast paced world she wants to understand your condition's and help you treat them so you do not have to do it alone. Dependable and Honest.

I had been seeing Dr. Shin for over 10 years and each experience I've had with her just kept getting worse and worse. It takes a lot for me to give up on someone, but it got to a point where I was so fed up and had to request to switch over to a different doctor in the Wellstar practice. I feel that it's very important for doctors, especially family doctors, to show some level of empathy towards their patient. The way Dr. Shin talks to you lacks any empathy and care. I was concerned about a medication she was suggesting I take and asked her if it might create concerning health risks and her response was just "Maybe". No other explanations, just a one worded "maybe" in this condescending tone. It was just too hurtful to be in that situation, where it felt like she did not care at all about your concerns or worries. Please read the other criticizing reviews about Dr. Shin's lack of empathy/rudeness. If it's enough for more than one person to point it out, I truly believe it's an issue.

Dr. Shin is uncaring, nonchalant, unresponsive, and just flat out USELESS as a doctor. I went in for my annual physical, she looked in my ears, listened to me breathe, and barely touched my throat (checking thyroid). When I saw my post visit notes, it stated negative for conditions she didn’t ask me about, notes that my abdomen was soft (she didn’t examine my abdomen), and noted normal range of motion in my neck(which she didn’t check). After my appointment, I sent her a message via the Wellstar app, with another concern to be included in my labs. I followed up several times and received NOTHING. She ignored my concerns and cries for medical help!!!! I had been a patient of Dr. Shin for 5 years and the level of care has consistently and considerably declined. I will NOT be returning to her. All she talks about is your weight, diet, and exercise. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND FIND A DOCTOR WHO CARES!!!!!

Do not go to this doctor
In my neverending struggle to find a regular PCP in Atlanta, Dr. Shin was another dud. She barely reviewed my annual physical tests, and provided the most useless, disinterested, and unintelligible one-sentence summary of my abnormal results. Then when I called for further explanation, her office made me schedule a separate virtual appointment (for which my insurance would be charged and I'd have to pay a co-pay) to discuss my results. I arrived 15 minutes early for the virtual appointment and Dr. Jin didn't join until 45 minutes after the start time (so I waited over an hour online) only to rush off in less than 5 minutes after providing yet another disinterested and useless explanation of my results and waving away my concerns. I will never return to her.

Dr. Shin listened to me, was to the point and when a medication was not covered by my insurance, her office worked with me over email/phone to get a new one sent over ASAP that worked for me. I have no complaints and plan on going back to Dr. Shin.
