Dr. Joanne Delgado-Lebron, MD

I suffered a spinal cord injury which left me weakened, unable to walk without support or control my bladder or bowels. Four months into my recovery I came from my home in the northeast to Hollywood, FL, to consult with her as a rehabilitative specialist in spinal cord injury cases and connect to a physical therapy unit focused on neuro-related disabilities. During my ten weeks there, I had two appointments with her, both lengthy and thorough. She was uncommonly acquainted with my symptoms and how to treat them holistically. Between these appointments she personally responded promptly to urgent cauda equina health issues I had and took very helpful action. She ensured my immediate acceptance into the physical therapy program, and twice-weekly sessions boosted my continued recovery of strength and mobility. . I feel very grateful to be a patient of Dr. Delgado, because of her professional knowledge and skills, her dedication and compassionate care of me as an individual.

What more can I say than WOW. From day 1, when I can hardly move to now,Dr Delago & her team of therapist got me back both physically & mentally Delgado expertise & positive vibrancy is an asset to anyone in need of her help. Words cannot express my admiration for her.Thanks,again.

I couldn't be happier. Short wait time, friendly staff, clean environment. She has excellent diagnostic skills, compassion, and patience. She not only addresses my concerns regarding the reasons for my visits, but also takes the time to ask other important health related questions to see if other concerns or health issues are related and/or needs to be addressed.

I feel so lucky to have found a doctor that is familiar with my spinal cord injury, and the Autonomic Dysreflexia I deal with on a daily basis. Dr. Delgado takes the time to listen, understand, and review realistic options. She teamed up with Dr. Cohen, in the same office, so that my procedure to get a Spinal Cord Stimulator implant could go as smooth as possible. She’s also been there every step of the way, encouraging and helping me get through each obstacle this year has thrown my way. Above all, her knowledge of my condition has been a life saver. As if her skills, knowledge, and compassion were not enough, her patience during our visits is amazing. We can ask as many questions as we have and she will answer each and every one of them without rushing us, or making us feel bad. I honestly feel lucky to have her as a major part of my care team. I saw Dr Delgado-Lebron because my back did not let me walk, I was bent at the waist, could not walk straight, there were vertebrae protruding my spine and the pain was unbearable. In hopes to obtain a non-invasive therapy I asked Dr Delgado to help me. She thoroughly examined my MRIs concluding I needed surgery, that I was not going to get better. So, I did and I’m so glad I did. After the surgeries, Dr. Delgado took care of me in-patient at Memorial Reha Hospital for 6 days. Under her care I have learned how to manage my back carefully. and presently I’m out-patient getting stronger and walking straight. I cannot thank her enough for her caring, kind and patient attitude. You can tell by her demeanor she truly enjoys helping you. By the way, she also diagnosed 2 other conditions I had, Thank you Dr Delgado-Lebron, you Rock!!!
