Didn't diagnose shingles
I had a single nodule instead a rash, and was billed thousands of dollars for nothing when I had my excruciating nerve pain (one touch of the area and it hurt so much I burst into tears) but was not diagnosed. I left the ER, went to Urgent Care and had relief in two hours after the visit. So, no, I don't recommend Dr. Mathews.

I accidentally got bleach in my eye and Dr. Mathews was the attending. Dr. had very good bedside manner and he treated me with compassion and dignity in spite of the embarrassment I felt due to the accident. Dr. also explained to me in detail what he was doing and why. Since there was no Eye Surgeon available in the ER, he did reach out to confirm the mode of treatment and it was consistent with what he did. God forbid I should even end up there again, but if I did, I would want Dr. Mathews to be my attending. Thank you for providing me with the care you did. Highly recommend.

I didnt have a choice to come here after my motorcycle accident last week. The ambulance chose this place. Dr Matthew's was my attending Ed and he is the worst! My doctor I am seeing know is questioning why he did certain things to my body. I had stitches to my left knee. When the xray tech came in the order was on my right knee and the xray tech almost got xrays of the wrong knee. Dr Matthew's refused to see my hand saying it was a minor contusion after I complained about pain to my hand. Now
