Dr has a temper and tends to treat patients like children. Example: once I asked about participating in an MS trial. He exploded railing about not having the time and not getting paid for what he has to put into a trial. His staff seems to be afraid of him. If they think he will get angry, they won't push for a patient. He may he good but he is arrogant. I have met other patients who feel the same way.

Go elsewhere or waste you time. Dr. Stackman - first appt cancelled. First appt was hopeful BUT he does not through on signing off for testing, calling to let you know test results, checking in with specialist for a consult and again calling to let you know additional test results. When questioned about why he did get in touch with other doctors for a consult, he said he was busy and this is Ithaca. After calling the office 3 times and a great nurse - he now says go to the specialist.

Dr. Stackman is barely by-the-book accurate in doing his job,and lacks the creativity and empathy required to actually help patients. Asked to help out with bad headaches, he went straight for questionable prescription decisions, and said get over it regarding a patient complaint about discomfort. We reverted to a Boston headache specialist, who was shocked at both approaches, took a different and more relevant path, and is far more helpful.
