I didn't feel like he took me seriously.
I feel bad and need tests. He acted like my symptoms weren't real and told me to just go home and deal with it for a month then he might run some tests.

doesn't listen
He asks random questions that have nothing to do with my healthcare, and doesn't listen to my questions-just changes the subject

I have had worse but he's not great.
You have to schedule to be available the entire day when you have a scheduled appointment. He regularly runs 2hours late and the staff doesn't inform people about delays, since it's everyday, and they always under estimate.how much longer it will be and have no empathy about it. We have had afternoon telahealth appointments that they canceled without saying anything, after the nurse had called and done the check in. The next day received a text saying that we missed our appointment and need to call to reschedule. Prescription refill requests are often days or even weeks late. New prescriptions or changes in dose discussed in appointments are often not noted properly and take days or weeks to get fixed. And he insists on seeing patients every month or 2 for ongoing prescription refills and then insists on reviewing every symptom every time. Also, discourages exercise and encurages anorexic behavior for weight loss. He pushes old ideas that have been disproven by studies.

I have quit this doctor and left Providence Health Plan and gone back to KAISER. Dr. Alcott caused me untold grief. He is 79 years old and needs to retire

I waited one hour and fifteen minutes to see him. When I mentioned it to him he was extremely rude and hostile. I would never go back! I understand that doctors can run a little behind, but at 10:30 in the morning to have to wait over an hour is absurd. Nobody apologized or checked in with me.
