I now live in Florida and Gothenburg, NE and Dr. Batter performed bypass surgery on me 15 years ago and I’m doing great enjoying my retirement. Thank you so much.

Dr. Batter did my valve replacement with double bypass surgery in May of 2023. The surgery went smoothly as well as my recovery. Nothing but positive things to say!!

Excellent surgeon. I came to see him about a lung lobectomy and he answered ALL my questions in a very professional manner. I had zero problems during surgery and during hospital stay at Methodist. Best choice you can make if you need lung surgery.

I saw him because of a possible cancerous mass in my left lung. He was a very angry, hateful and disrespectful person. I would never see him again and could never recommend him. No idea why he was like this. Had to wait an hour past my appointment time.

Dr Batter did my three vessel bypass surgery. There was no damage to my heart after. After a night on vent I woke up and walked for them to show I was fine. I went home that day and rehab was great also. Nice man.

WORST bedside manner I have ever seen. He was defensive and not prepared for the 45 seconds he wanted to call a visit while making rounds. Didn’t even bother to look at the xrays. Lied and said the nursing staff had not called him the night prior.

Excellent surgeon, had very good appointment before surgery. Went home fourth day after aortic valve replacement, returned to work as a heavy mechanic after eight weeks. Dr. Batter is not there to hold your hand he's there to repair your heart. If I need to ever do this again Dr. Batter would absolutely be my choice.

Was treated poorly, like we were wasting his time. Didn't once ask me about symptoms, what I did for a living, IE how my condition might effect me. Got the feeling that if he can't slap you on the table right then he couldn't care less about you. He tried to get in and out in under five minutes. WORST experience in a Doctors office. I would not let him clip a toe nail at this point.

Outcome at times differed what he said pre-op ex. pacemaker location. Never showed up to explain why-Told he went on vacay. Follow up w/PA not Dr. Told PA I had symptoms of PE. She didn't think I had one, but could go to ER if I wanted. (Admitted next day w/PE by primary dr.) I said I wanted to see him &I'd wait & finally told he didn't have time see me. Years later told by other dr. not MRI compatible pacer like supposed to be. Have severe inflammatory poly arthritis. Needed MRI compatible.

I would give him a zero, but cannot. He denied mistakes made by himself or his staff during surgery. Even a common side effect, his response was I have no idea how that happened. He seems to avoid seeing patients, especially when a problem occurs. He is not interested in providing good care to his patient, only getting through appointments or surgeries as quickly as possible, and then letting others try to mitigate any damage he may have caused. I think he is unscrupulous.
