Dr. John Brokloff, DDS

Brockloff came in to discuss, I went to point at the tooth (and lack thereof), I am at the dentist to talk about my teeth... He screams at me (a 41 year old woman), DO NOT DO THAT! WHAT ARE YOU DOING!? THAT IS DISGUSTING! WOULD. YOU. DO. THAT. AT. YOUR. GYNECOLOGIST!? I have now known this man for 2 full minutes and this is what he says to me. We continued the appointment, (that I should have walked out of). I had to explain, I have a severe needle phobia and he said, 'I don't care, that has nothing to do with me.' I explained I would need something like a Valium or Xanax and he said, 'I am not giving you anything for this.' There isn't enough space to tell the rest, but he also said he is 'technically in the military' because he works at the VA some. This was the worst experience of my life in a healthcare setting.

They obviously wanted me to come in earlier (it was a Friday) and wanted to leave early. They had a real attitude that I didn’t answer my phone to accommodate them. This was 2 years ago and it’s taken me this long to calm down enough to review. I had seen this “Doctor “ in the Arlington location years before for a TMJ (jaw disorder) issue-he was ok then, but wow he really showed his true colors this time. He asked me if he was as good looking the first time I saw him! He cut me off and answered his own question-boy was he WAY off! I was asking him questions about dentures as they related to someone with TMJ. He was talking to me like I was a two year old, very obviously being condescending. His receptionist or whoever she was just about as rude and unprofessional. I’ve never been treated like this by anyone much less a Doctor. They must have paid people who rated him 5 stars.

Personable, professional, efficient, and caring. Follow-up was spectacular.

My 16 year old had 4 wisdom teeth removed. We are 1,000 % pleased with this team. The ladies at the desk return messages in record time. Everyone was very friendly and caring. She felt like the dentist cared and was completely comfortable.

He was the best oral surgeon I've had in years. I was so at ease with Dr Brokloff and his assistant and staff. Everyone was so nice. They care about your feelings, your pain and your comfort. I will go back to them for everything I need I'll see u guys again in a few weeks foe ALL of my bottom teeth out Thanks to everyone!!!

I would like to give a HUGE shout out to Akron Oral Surgeons - Dr. Brokloff and associates. My 90 year old father in law needed teeth removed. I was very worried to send him to just anybody for this procedure considering he has some medical issues. I chose Dr Brokloff. He and his partner had extracted my two adult children's wisdom teeth so effortlessly I knew that's where I would send my father in law. Needless to say we were beyond amazed at the exceptional care he was given by the Dr's and the staff and how well he was treated and cared for. I will always recommend them to anyone who needs dental care. Honestly they are the best.

8/16/2021 I had 3 back molar teeth removed. he's understanding open honest and cares his office and nurses are super amazing. not only did he remove my wisdom teeth almost 10 yrs ago and now my molars. he will be removing my sons (14) wisdom teeth in December. I know my son is in great hands and would never take my kids to another oral surgeon other then Dr. brokloff

This guy is the most condescending, rude, arrogant doctor I have ever encountered. I asked him to explain the procedure he was referring to and he became enraged and demeaning. Wow didn’t think that asking a question to clarify his statement would bring out such a response. If you can afford to go somewhere else, I highly recommend doing so!

Dr. Brokloff has a fantastic sense of humor and makes me feel very comfortable. When I was 37 weeks pregnant he got me in right away to remove an infected tooth that was causing me a great amount of pain. He is also the doctor I chose to remove my wisdom teeth . He and staff are all very accommodating and the surgeries themselves have been very quick. Will definitely return for the last two teeth I need removed!

Dr. Brokloff and his staff were all very courteous and got 2 of my wisdom teeth of of my head for me. While I wasn't put under as I would have liked, the doctors numbing shots and mild IV sedation ensured that I wasn't in any pain or discomfort (keep in mind I am a sissy and have never had any dental work in the past). If you are reading reviews online about Dr. Brokloff, some will mention that he is a no-nonsense kinda guy, and he is to a certain degree, but

While scheduling my appointment on the phone, I mentioned that I had both Metlife and Anthem. I assumed everything was fine. I get to the office about a month later for my appointment only to be told that they wouldn't accept either even though they show up as a provider on the Metlife site. Why no one mentioned this on the phone is beyond me. However, Dr Brokloff took out my top wisdom teeth years ago and I had no complaints then. His office people need to get on the same page though.
