Caring and Attentive
There are certain feelings you want when you go see a doctor; things like trust and importance. This is what I feel when I see Dr. Danks. I’ve seen him for over a couple of years now due to my blood clots. It’s been traumatic since the clots travelled to my lungs and caused pulmonary embolisms. I feel extremely comfortable taking his advice which somehow I feel is the same advice he would give his own father. He’s extremely caring and attentive and so creates that culture in the office as demonstrated by his great Physician’s Assistants. It’s been a scary ride for me but I’ve felt safe with Dr. Danks. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

The best!
I can not say enough about Dr. Danks! My grandfather who is 89 years old had to have an aortic aneurysm repair which was the scariest thing for our family, but after speaking with Dr. Danks and of course reading reviews, I knew he was in the best hands possible. I can’t thank him enough! He’s the best

Great surgeon
Dr. Danks is a great surgeon, wonderful Dr and very kind human. Listened to our concerns, and thoroughly checked the cause of the problem. Was able to take care of the problem and all with detailed explanation throughout the visits. My husband is back to himself, and we are very happy with Dr Danks, and his staff. Highly recommend

Dr. Danks Took Great Care of My Brother-In-Law.
Dr. John Danks and Margaryta Tolchynska, P.A. have provided through, excellent care for my husband’s brother, who had pressure sores on his toes, and of most concern, his right heel, after a long hospitalization for severe pneumonia. We were worried he could lose his foot or even part of his lower leg. Initially, we though that he only had poor blood flow within his foot. A comprehensive evaluation and assessment revealed no femoral pulse in his groin and scans showed severely compromised blood flow into both legs. Even though my brother-in-law was a high-risk patient, extremely underweight with very severe emphysema, Dr. Danks performed an aorto-bifemoral bypass to restore blood flow and provide the best long-term solution to avoid amputation and minimize future issues. Dr. Danks personally oversaw his care at St. Joseph’s Paterson and arranged for home care to ensure a full recovery. Since the surgery about 6 weeks ago, his toes have healed, and the heel is healing beautifully.

Wonderful Doctor
I was referred to Dr. Danks by my primary doctor to rule out any vascular issues. I saw Dr Danks twice and was very satisfied with both visits. Dr. Danks answered all of my questions in a very understandable way and spent as much time as I needed. I will definately use Dr Danks again, if necessary.

Intelligent and personable.
Dr Danks is everything you want and need in a Dr. He's informed, experienced and knows how to involve you in your health concerns, so you can understand your health issue and work on it together. I was referred to Dr Danks by my podiatrist for my circulation issues due to very weak veins. By a coincidence, prior to my 1st visit I had developed a very bad infection on my toes. I had already seen my general practioner, my podiatrist. and had been to the emergency room due to the infection getting worse. When he saw the infection, he immediately changed the previously prescribed antibiotics. and after taking the new antibiotics for 5 days. finally, after 3 weeks, my infection started to heal. I had become fearful and anxious, since my condition hadn't improved until I had my appointment with Dr Danks.and he changed my treatment plan. In addition, he has great leadership skills and knows how to keep his staff motivated and professional. I actually enjoy going to my appointments.

Dr. John Danks operated on my dad who had a life threatening Abdominal Aortic Aneurism. It was a shock to our family when surgery was immediately necessary. Dr. Danks was recommended to me by one of his colleagues. I called him for a 2nd opinion the day before surgery and he quickly returned my call. He agreed to be in on the surgery and gave me confidence in the surgical team: detailing the procedure, possible outcomes, and considered dad's other conditions to minimize risk. When he said he would do his "absolute best," I believed him. He saved my dad's life. A month later, he's following my dad and called with an update after his appointment. Our family is beyond grateful for his superior training, meticulous operative technique and immediate attention in our time of crisis.

Dr. Danks saved my leg. He has continued to see me after saving my leg 2 years ago. When I was scared and in the emergency room, he explained everything to me and was honest but comforting. I will always be grateful for what he has done.
