Dr. John Delgado, MD

I just learned that Dr. Delgado moved his practice from Ashland to San Diego. It was a big surprise and it would have been helpful to be notified, but our records are still available at the Monarche clinic in Ashland. Dr. Delgado was attentive and I always felt that he listened carefully to my symptoms and treated me effectively, with the benefit of his many years in medical practice. He is a kind and thorough doctor with a functional medicine approach -- I recommend him.

He left town last year without telling any of his patients, this while we were still paying for the concierge service which we never had use of. I’ve been going to his office for 19 years and he was a pretty good doctor but this is bewildering. He should have at least given us all a heads up. There are two excellent NPs still working at his offIce and now I see them. But the whole situation is just bizarre.

Dr. Delgado abandoned his full Ashland, Oregon practice last year without warning to his patients. Just up and left! His office staff won't say why, but as of last month, some patients were still being charged a monthly 'concierge' fee for his non-existent services. Very strange.

Listened to all my needs. Really listened to all my worries and explained things incredibly well.

Dr. Delgado is incredible. His knowledge of functional medicine makes him the perfect option for someone looking for a comprehensive solution to their health concerns! He really heard me out, and was able to explain the roots of my concerns along with very thorough and specific fixes to them! So so glad I booked this appointment.

He spent a lot of time talking with me during my appointment and gave great advice in regards to gut health and nutrition.

Dr. Delgado is wonderful. He takes time to understand and explain everything. My health has drastically improved since my first visit. I'm so glad we found him!

Very detailed and informative on letting me know what minerals, supplements and vitamins i needed. Explained to me what foods i needed to be eating and what to look out for. First time ever going to a doctor and not loading me up with prescriptions. My first great experience ever seeing a doctor. Thanks again!

I've never met Dr. Delgado, but my visit to his office was enough to provide sufficient information that I am glad he is not my doctor. As of Nov. 1, 2017, this practice is converted to a "membership" at a cost of $100.00 + $25.00 up front, $25.00 per month thereafter. These fees are for membership only and fees for services are separate. Further, members are required to make 4 appointments per year. A wellness visit, a skin survey, a follow-up, and one other (?). A Boutique practice=bad idea!?!

I'm a medicare patient. Dr. Delgado requires an annual physical that is not covered by Medicare. He checked my lungs, ears, nose and checked for hernia. Then he charged me $1000 for this exam. Though he seems to be a good doctor his clinic is not well run. After about 2 years, they lost all my insurance info and billed me in full - never apologized . The wait times were always long until I complained and left after an hour then they got better.

I was told this morning that the staff nurse practitioner wouldn't see me because she only sees women. Is that legal? It doesn't feel right. My one appointment with Dr. Delgado himself felt like a money-making venture in which he tried to get me to have tests done that weren't necessary. I will say: the office is very clean and nice.
