Dr. John Deschamps has treated my partner and I for 19 years. Over that period of time as we aged from 62 to 81, we experienced a number of incidents requiring his care. Prior to Dr. Deschamps, we had four primary care physicians. We changed to Dr. Deschamps following a move from Northern Virginia. While two of our previous PCPs had been very good, Dr. Deschamps is far and away the best. He excels in both medical knowledge (my partner was formerly a Head Nurse of a ward at Fairfax Hospital) and empathy. He is excellent in referring one to specialists and very careful to not exceed his own knowledge. It is not an overstatement to say that he is exceptional.

Went in for a checkup. Was advised to get a pneumonia vaccine. That night I had a severe allergic reaction to the shot. Dr. Deschamps had given me his card. Emailed the doctor. No response. Ever. Called the doctor from the number on his card. It was the number of an auto supply store. Ended up in hospital.

I was concerned about getting to know a new doctor after the retirement of my old one. After only 2 visits with Dr DesChamps I am totally grateful he has come into my life! His kindness, patience and concern is extraordinary. I’m no spring chicken but I have learned more about myself in these 2 visits than I have in many years. I highly recommend Dr DesChamps.
