One of the very best
Dr Eatman is very kind and very thorough. He genuinely wants to find solutions to your health problems. He takes the time he needs to listen to you, and to make you feel cared for. Just one of the best physicians around. And Advent is a caring place to receive care.

He listened very well. He didn’t dismiss my experience and my thoughts on my situation, rather took them into account. The only disappointing thing with Dr. Eatman was that it took seven months to get an appointment.

Never quits
Dr. Dr. Eatman did not accept the diagnosis of 5 other docs who told me my leg problem was collateral damage from radiation. Dr. Eatman persevered and came up with an altogether different diagnosis that is treatable. I would likely be in a wheelchair had I not been properly diagnosed with a fairly rare immune disease. I am walking much better than a year ago. Dr. Eatman is my hero!

10 out of 10!
Dr. Eatman has been a God send. Dealing with chronic migraines since childhood, I thought living with pain was a normal part my life. Under his care my needs have been heard, exhaustive patterns finally managed and a balance restored. He has shown kindness in a compassionate bedside manner while providing a dynamic treatment plan yielding results. Wonderful provider and I tell anyone with symptoms “I’ve got the BEST neurologist, Dr. John Eatman, do you want his number?”

Really listens
Dr.Eatman is my favorite doctor. I had other doctors tell me I was fine and that my symptoms were due to stress. Dr.Eatman was the first doctor to tell me it wasn’t in my head. He is very thorough and takes his time. He truly cares about his patients. Thanks to his help I am now living pain free and am able to do things without as much difficulty as before. I finally feel like I have answers. I’m still falling apart, but I know I don’t have to go it alone.

Kindness & Communication
This morning was a bit frustrating but not because we went to NKCH to find Dr Eatman was in Liberty, MO. And not because we had to reschedule due to being late. But by the rudeness, tone and talking down to us, as if we were making a scene or are children. My husband and I are reasonable people. We understand every person’s time is valuable and that Dr Eatman had a schedule to adhere to. At the moment I have convinced my husband to keep the rescheduled appointment. I would recommend that the front office attend basic customer service skills training. The first skill is to treat people as human beings. Also, when a reminder call is placed include a confirmation of the location since NKCH is only listed on the website. I would also recommend that Dr Eatman determine why type of reviews he wants to have. I would assume Dr Eatman is the one trying to build a practice with a good reputation, changes at the front desk might be needed to achieve that.

Dr. Eatman at Meritas neurology in north Kansas City is an excellent physician. He is very compassionate and thorough. He has great bedside manners. I am a physician myself and I high recommend him for anyone who has any neurological needs. I followed Dr. Eatman from his mid-Kansas City location to North of the River (about a 30-minute drive). He's young, but you can tell he's gifted. He seems to have an instinct for being a good doctor, in addition to training and a decade or so of experience. In a town of half a million people, we don't have a lot of great doctors, sadly. So you hold onto the good ones like Dr. Eatman.
