I have 3 boys, my last two were born during Covid, and the hospital was not doing circumcisions in house. I was referred to Dr. Edmundson. Within seconds of entering the room he had a clearly rehearsed speech about how most newborns should not be circumcized at birth, and told me my only option was doing my child's circ at one year old under anesthesia!! He then followed up with " now you could spend your time worrying about putting you child under anesthesia, but it would be a waste of your time, its totally safe." This made the hairs on my neck stand up. Who says that? Anyone in the medical profession knows there are ALWAYS risks, and it is irresponsible to say otherwise. When we were leaving two patients in front of my were being scheduled for one year follow ups for circumcisions under anesthesia. The whole situation just made me uneasy. Since that time I have talked to others that had a similar experience with Dr. Edmundson. My advice, get a second opinion.
