Eye care service was very good, but the Billing system and office staff will not correct mistakes. I went to office after receiving my January 2022 bill and the office staff told me not to worry with the bill it would be corrected. Then February 2022 bill arrived and the mistake still present on the bill but it was different....more charges. I returned to the office in person, and I was informed the Billing person was not available. So my information was copied by office staff and I was told that I would be contacted.............No action since 2/8/2022, 11:00AM.

As an eye doctor, I know many cataract surgeons around the United States, and I believe that Dr. Galanis is the finest ophthalmic surgeon that I know. When my parents, who lived in Chicago, needed cataract surgery, there was no one else that I would have considered for their surgery. Their procedures went perfectly, and they both could not have been more pleased. So when it came time for my cataract surgery, I knew that I wanted him for my surgeon. The staff at Galanis Cataract & Laser Eye Center was excellent. They were kind, explained everything in complete detail, and learned everything there was to know about my eyes. Dr. Galanis then reviewed all of that information with me and recommended a premium intraocular lens. The surgery only took a few minutes, and I can assure you that there was no pain at any point, before, during, or after. The hardest part was the numbing drop. Unlike many cataract surgery patients from other doctors, I did not even need a patch. My vision was g

Amazing Vision After Cataract Surgery – Aug 26, 2021
×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Galanis?
I had both eyes treated for cataracts and got the lens implants. I have had a couple of concerns in this month after the second one and they got me in and thoroughly checked my eyes, with pressure checks and taking pics of the retinas. I was reassured , but told to never hesitate calling and getting in if I had concerns. My vision is so wonderful now!!! I can read and see multiple distances so vividly and clearly. No more glasses and great eyesight! So thankful!!!

It has been a little over a year since my second cataract surgery. I have been unable to see clearly in either eye since the surgery. Most days I have blurriness in both eyes. I went back with my concerns and was told there was nothing wrong and was then referred to another specialist. And to add insult to injury, I was charged for the followup. If you are in need of cataract surgery, I would look elsewhere

He ruined my eye during cataract surgery and another procedure. I have lived with bad sight and enlarged pupil that doesn't open and close as it should. Feels irritated often and waters. Don't take the chance and go to him. He has his picture hanging in every room. Quite conceited.

I am blessed. I have been a patient of Dr. Galanis for many, many years. I have glaucoma. He has successfully (KNOCK ON WOOD) treated/operated on my eyes so that I wouldn't go blind. Glaucoma is ongoing and never ends. Hopefully, there will always be a procedure to ward off blindness, and that Dr. Galanis will always be the doctor to execute it. Dr. Galanis has kept up with the newest procedures and medical equipment to help all of his patients. The entire staff is super!

Both my husband and I received excellent eye care from Dr. Galanis and his staff. Their exams were very thorough, and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. I received a multi-focal implant for my cataract surgery, and it is wonderful to be able to see 20-20. I can read without needing glasses; however, since my other eye had already been corrected (by another doctor) for distance vision only, I sometimes wear magnifying glasses if I do a lot of close work - like sewing.
