Dismissive... refusing to treat new issues
After emergency spine surgery for a collapsed lumbar spine, he performed 3 laminectomies with screws, pins & rods to stabilize the spine, which continued to deteriorate. He refused to believe his surgery was unsuccessful, dismissing the increasing levels of pain & disability. Over the next year he sent me for MRI's claiming the pain was coming from hip joint issues (it wasn't). He sent me to Pain Management say it was a disfunction in the sacroiliac... Again it wasn't. Finally he reoperated when yet another MRI showed the screws & rods had destabilized , come loose & cracked a vertebra. He removed the instrumentation. By now, I could no longer stand upright & the pain was so excruciating that even potent pain medication did little to control it. Another physician also requested an MRI & discovered two vertebra were now loose & moving. Dr. German offered no remedy...

Don't waste your time
After a long history of degenerative disc disease, I chose to see a neurosurgeon.I asked if the pain in my arm,and numbness was do to the deteriation in my neck,.he retorted 'how would I know, I'm not an orthopedic doctor,'. He told me to go back to the orthopedic Dr and get more x raysNo compassion, unprofessional,

Truly worst doctor ever
After our initial referral toGerman, we wasted over s month with no response. My doctor finally called him direct. Very poor communication with his office throughout our experience with him. Implanted a VNS device in daughter’s chest—forgot to prescribe pain medication—how does that happen??? then wasn’t available when she came out of anesthesia— we’ve had to see another surgeon several times to correct his work and my daughter still has pain years later… when we first returned to him for help after the surgery he said “I just put them in” (the devices). After that you’re onyour own. And be warned— there are very few doctors who will remove these devices— if you go to German for this surgery, he will not remove it if it, even if it’s causing damage. My PCP just referred me to German for a different issue—no way!!— my stomach turned when i saw his name come up— he caused real trauma to my daughter, then left her suffering. I would not let this guy treat my cat.

Life saver !! Amazing surgeon.
Long story short, he saved my life and I could not be more great full. When everyone turned their back on me and let me suffer in pain for months and “couldn’t figure out” what was wrong I was rushed to alb med cause I couldn’t walk, and in the matter of hours dr German figured everything out and did my surgery right there. I’m 6 days post op and I’m walking in NO pain. I love this man! I have my life back thanks to him.

Completely Fixed My Neck
Dr. German performed C4/C5 disc replacement surgery and it was a perfect success! This man changed my life! I was in so much pain beforehand and I woke up from the surgery pain free. Even the recovery was easy. He went in through the front of my neck and you can't even see a scar. I had this surgery 3 years ago and I'm still pain free.

I was very pleased with the entire process from beginning through post op follow up with Doctor German and his staff. The surgery went well with minimum hospital stay. I am in my third week of recovery and back to work on a part time basis. My leg pain and foot numbness has been erratic acted. Minimal soreness remaining in the area of surgery. I would highly recommend this surgeon.

When I needed emergency surgery he took great care of me, checked in on me postop & during my hospital stay. My first time ever needing surgery, he made sure I understood everything involved. Most definitely would highly recommend him.

When he did my back surgery he glued my back instead of using stitches like most doctors and it left me disfigured. He never checked on me after surgery. I would never recommend him or ever go back to this doctor. I have had many back surgeries but only 1 done by him.

I have a rare genetic disorder. I met Dr. German in 2008 after my primary care provider had completed an MRI for my complaints of shoulder pain and headaches That test revealed I has a large tumor located in the left hemisphere of my brain. The confidence I experienced at the very first appointment brought myself and my family the peace and hope we needed for a long journey. Don't let the office staff scare you away! Be persistent. He is worth the time you will spend on repeated call backs.
