Good doc, but he's retired now
I saw Dr. Grimm from 16-24 or so and then again from age 31 until his retirement. While he had a very dry sense of humor and wasn't the most social person, he was always efficient and effective with his care. Unfortunately, he retired in 2022 I believe.

My husband had just gone through a round of antibiotics and a steriod. After a quick look, Dr Grim said he was going to perscribe him another antibiotic. But he didn't explain why. TI said “ are you sure?” ( because I was worried about a second round of antibiotics and he couldn’t tell us what was wrong) He snapped back “ No I am not sure, I have only been a doctor for many years and I don’t know what I am talking about” Then he went on to say that he saw in my husband’s file that we requested to see another doctor and he didn’t appreciate that… He went on to say that hundreds of people come to him as a doctor and we should find another doctor. He went on to say “good luck” because other doctors are not taking new patients. I tried to steer the conversation back to the care of my husband and asked him a question about the extreme exhaustion my husband was having. He turned his back to me and refused to answer.

Well, maybe he did not like me cause I had "bad breath" :( I heard him say this to someone outside the room. I already am terribly self conscious about this. But due to gastric problems, mouthwash-teeth brushing does not help. Maybe he doesn't know about gastric problems. He was quick all right. I felt like I was bothering him. NO bedside manners at all. And I have a relative who is a nurse practitioner. So I didn't want to hold hands and paint nails with him. But he could have said how you doing or something. I'm surprised at the 5 star ratings. Again...maybe it was just me.

He is very efficient and covers the reason you came into see him, within a few minutes he is writing you a prescription for what medicine you need without bogging your visit down with a lot of other test or concerns that have nothing to do with why you needed to come in and see him. I appreciate that. I have limited funds and wouldn’t trust that he was working in my best interest if he was pushing other procedures to have done at me.
