Bedside manner and not good at explaining
My full evaluation is TBD, but upon first visit with him, he made me feel as though the things that I was experiencing on an everyday basis weren’t actually going on. Did not explain to me in the entirety or in any kind of Laymans terms of what was going on. Made me feel like I was imagining all of these symptoms I’ve had for three months. Hopefully with my follow up visits, he will understand that this is something that’s really going on, and he will actually address it properly with me and at that time I will update This review

Dr. Hemphill is a brilliant cardiologist. He has cared for me with compassion and takes the time to explain what medications do, and what can be done to live with heart failure. He recently did a cardiogram to see for himself what is happening with my heart. He was very kind, even sweet, in explaining the results to me. He really has a good "bedside manner" but his brilliance may get in the way of people understanding who he is and how he works. I recommend him highly to anyone looking for a cardiologist. He cares about his patients.

Lack of coordination and inconsistent feedback, not following written recommendations, with/from other cardiology specialists (referred to); Interpersonal patient interaction stiff. Could be perceived as uncompassionate. Resultant in patient concern and confusion. Favorable experiences with other physician providers, including cardiology specialists.
