AMAZING!!!!
All the medical staff was so kind and made me feel comfortable! He answered all my questions and more! He made sure I understood each step and seemed to genuinely care about my thoughts and concerns. The surgery went fantastic! I’m so happy I went with Dr. Hijjawi for my breast reduction! All my follow up appoints were just as helpful and pleasant. I have and will continue to recommend Dr. Hijjawi!!!

Outstanding Plastic Surgeon
I needed breast reconstruction due to breast cancer. My original surgeon left me a lopsided mess. Dr. Hijjawi fixed the mess and made me feel like myself again. He is a perfectionist and wonderful to work with!

Excellent surgeon
Dr Hijjawi performed a breast reduction for me last year, it has really changed my life, by reducing my chronic back pain. During my consults prior to the procedure, Dr Hijjawi explained everything to me, the good and the bad. He also listened to my wants, but helped me make realistic choices, that ended up being a better match for me. He is a skilled surgeon, my procedure went great and I love the way my breasts look now, you can tell that he has mastered his job. In addition to being great at his job, he also has some of the best bedside manner I have ever seen, you just feel so comfortable and safe around him. I honestly appreciate how throughout he is, I could not recommend him enough. I also think that everyone in his team is excellent, they deserve to be praised for keeping me comfortable, in such vulnerable time.

Cut my Nipples off?
It took me 2.5 years to get in to see Dr. Hijjawi. I am a breast cancer survivor from 2011. The last 5 years I became very ill after researching breast implant illness and educating myself, I knew I had to remove the breast implants that were put in after my double mastectomy. When I had my first exam with Dr H., without emotion, he stated that he would have to cut my nipples off. I asked 'why?', when they survived BC, apparently I had to much tissue to work with. I cried for days. Within a couple weeks I met with his PA to go over my CT scan, everything looked good, I only had to sign the blood transfusion document. I explained to her that I would sign it if it states that I would bank my own blood for use, she looked at me in surprise. A couple days I received a call from Dr. H. letting me know that he can't do my surgery. I called and was given a list of other doctors that turned me away. I was black balled. I found an amazing Dr and have my nipples. Dr H. rejection was a blessing.

Not worth the time or energy.
Dr Hijjawi is a condescending know it all. Doesn't take the time to get to know why you are coming to him for care. Belittles and shames you into doing what he says and doesn't really care. He never asked why I was looking at a possible breast reduction following a lumpectomy. Just assumed he knew the answers. Also tried to tell me I needed to be on meds for type 2 diabetes. The only problem is I'm a type 1 and have been for over 42 years. The worst comment he made was that I don't understand what I'm being told. I know a bit more than he realizes, my family has many serious health issues and has had a combined 20+ surgeries in 25+ years. I have spent time with doctor's much better than he is and will not waste my time on a know it all like him. Not worth the time or money.

Magical surgeon
I had revised breast implant surgery with Dr. Hijjawi. I have never been more grateful for him and for my decision to go with him after having horrible results from a previous surgeon. After having a prophylactic double mastectomy and two different implant surgeries that were horribly done with the previous surgeon, I thought I would never look or feel good again. As soon as I met Hijjawi, I knew I was in good hands. Not only did he listen, but he showed empathy and concern for me and my feelings. I was nervous going in for a third breast implant surgery, but I have been blown away with the results. He fixed what I thought was forever destroyed. I feel like myself again and that is such a great feeling. I am so grateful for Dr. Hijjawi! He truly is a magical surgeon!

I’ve been seeing Dr. Hijjawi for the last 2 years. I was originally diagnosed with stage 2 BC and 2 years later with stage 4. During this process I have loved my cancer team at Intermountain Healthcare, but Dr. Hijjawi and his staff have a very special place in my heart. From my first consultation to each of my check-ups, he and his staff are always friendly, professional, and have great bedside manner. I did have a brief stint with plastic surgeons at Huntsman because of change if insurance. While the surgeons, residence, and nurses seemed competent to perform my surgery, I felt like I was a number of specimen to them. At Dr. Hijjawi’s office they were totally empathetic about my situation and have their rooms set up for patients to feel dignified during, at times, are undignified situations (ex: have separate room to take pictures with a female nurse, outside of exam room (doesn’t seem like a big deal, but Needless to say, I held off with my surgery until I was able to get insu

I met with several plastic surgeons before meeting Dr. Hijjawi. He was the first to make me feel confident that he was experienced and knowledgeable enough to perform the complicated DIEP, and cared about how I would feel about the results. After cancer treatments left me feeling mutilated, Dr. Hijjawi's work made me feel whole, put-back-together, and even more beautiful than before.

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Hajjawi and his staff. He performed my reconstruction after my double mastectomy. He was very direct and knowledgeable about the whole process. He made my husband and I feel very comfortable and answered all our questions and concerns. He and his staff were on top of the minor complications I had after surgery and got me right back in to correct the problem. I am grateful I found Dr. Hajjawi and very happy with my final results!

What a shocking experience it has been to work with Dr. Hijjawi. I needed a tendon repair surgery on my finger and was scheduled with him. Not only is he a rude person, but he has no regard for your care. I had surgery on my finger and I still know nothing about the injury, operation, or what I am suppose to be doing for after care. It is my advice to find a professional, NOT him.

I highly recommend Dr Hijjawi and his staff. He performed my bilateral DIEP flap breast reconstruction, and I am very happy with the results. Dr Hijjawi is professional, articulate and personable. Even more important, he is an amazing surgeon. He corrected several problems that resulted from my prior double mastectomy. He is skillful and meticulous. I was very happy with care Dr. Hijjawi and his staff gave me. He has a great bed side manner and was very kind. After being diagnosed with BRCA1, I did my research and after our consultation I felt like he was very knowledgeable with the DIEP surgery that he performed. When I had complications he was right on it and followed through. As well as following up with the touch up surgery later. I was pleased at the end. I will definitely recommend him.
