Dr. John Hulsen III, MD

Dr. Hulsen is a caring and very impressive doctor. He is wonderful at putting you at ease and providing the information necessary for your procedure. I have had several procedures done, and I would highly recommend Dr Hulsen.

Dr Hulsen was amazing. His bedside manner was great and I knew I was in great hands did my surgery.

I had a great experience with Dr Hulsen. He explained the procedure and listened to my concerns. He answered all my questions honestly and I’m very happy with my results!

After my consultation with Dr. Hulsen, he wanted me to get an MRI before scheduling surgery. They never got back to me and I was told they never received the imaging data disc. I confirmed it was delivered, then called Dr. Hulsen's office again. This time the disc was able to be located on his desk 'under a pile of stuff.' Never heard back again. Since then I've called the office 6 times over the past 6 months requesting an update. I've asked his assistant candidly, does Dr. Hulsen have time for me? Should I find another doctor? I was assured he was just busy and would be getting back to me. Told he was in the office and got the message. But no contact back. Now after wasting months I could have been treated elsewhere, $2000 MRI, and hours of my personal time, I'm giving up. Dr. Hulsen is disorganized, unprofessional, and does not respect his patients' time or resources.

Dr Hulsen and his office team are absolutely awesome. I never felt uncomfortable and Dr Hulsen explained everything in great detail and was totally honest and up front with me from the beginning of my journey all the way to the end. I had a labiaplasty with Dr. Hulsen and when I originally researched him I couldn’t find reviews on that specific procedure. I had an absolutely fantastic experience with Dr. Hulsen and the chesterfield office from the time I booked my consultation to the time I had my follow of appointment. Would 100% recommend his practice and could not be more satisfied with my results!

He lacked any compassion at all. He told me i would look horrible that no one could miss the scar due to size and location that i would find a new normal in a year. That an if it was in the bone they would try to give me something that resembled a nose. Asked how dependent i was on my glasses because I would not be able to wear them and i would not be able to work for a month. I finally got up out of the chair and left. He would be better dealing with patients who are anesthetized . He also did not enter the notes before my next consult then his staff said they were there but they were not. He also did not offer Mohs as a potential treatment said he didnt like it. Not recomended.

Dr. Hulsen is the best. He is so compassionate about his work and very professional. He treated me as if I was a member of his family. I had to have a reconstructive surgery on my face after the removal of Melanoma. Dr. Hulsen went above and beyond to make sure everything was a success and took his time to explain everything. His staff is so friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend him.

Dr Hulsen is exceptional. He is certainly the expert but shares his recommendations with caring as well as confidence. He made me feel comfortable at once, listened to my goals and took the time to explain his recommendation.

Simply the best. Took his time and explained everything step, never felt rushed. Back surgery and had no pain or problems whatsoever. Highest recommendation 10+.

I had a great experience with Dr. Hulsen and his entire staff. I was recommended to him by a dermatologist for a re-excision. He had a wonderful bedside manner and never made me feel rushed during our consultation. Some medical professionals do not share the same level of care that I received with Dr. Hulsen. He clearly explained everything to me and made me feel very comfortable. My overall experience from the office staff, nurses (especially Beth) and Dr. Hulsen was seamless. Everyone was kind and caring. I would highly recommend this practice for anyone seeking their services.

Generally every visit you get in and out relatively quickly. I had a slightly strange case where I would need him and two other surgeons in the OR at the same time performing several different surgeries. Every appointment he was very informative and made sure to ask if I had any questions and to answer everything in easy terms even with drawings if need be. He has a wonderful bedside manner and really cares about his patients. And is so easy to communicate with. He also is incredibly excellent at his work. I’ve had several other doctors see his work and say how incredible it was and then ask who had done it, asking me to spell his name out so they new who it was. My sister whom is in a similar field in AZ to said it was some of the best work she has seen. If you’re looking for a knowledgeable, friendly, plastic surgeon who actually cares about you overall, go to him! He really is the best of the best.

Dr. Hulsen performed an abdominoplasy and sculpting for me. I am very excited at the results, and are better than I thought possible with my physique. His care was very detailed, and he reviewed information I hadn't even considered. He was very thorough, made me feel very comfortable, at ease and calm. He was friendly, professional and personable. His staff Carla and Pam were knowledgeable and responsible, and were very much appreciated. His assistant Di was fantastic, professional and especially helpful. She too made a huge difference in my care. I would recommend Dr. Hulsen without hesitation to any prospective patient with 100% confidence. Love them!

My experience with Dr Hulsen was a very comfortable visit. He took a lot time with me explaining the procedure he was going to perform which was a removal of a skin cancer. He did a great job and I have full confidence in him as a great Doctor!

Recently had Breast Reduction Surgery with Dr Hulsen as my surgeon. He was able to listen to my concerns as a patient and walk me through the Breast Reduction Surgery Journey! I love the results after 4 weeks post op! Would recommend him for sure! He cares about his patients and their experience!

I can’t say enough about what an amazing physician and person Dr.Hulsen is! He has made it a priority that I have been taken care of and that I am happy with my breast reconstruction after breast cancer and a double mastectomy. He truly takes his time with his patients and carries himself not only with confidence but also with care. His calm, comforting demeanor and artistic engineering of the human body is just one other thing that makes him so great. I can move forward in life having confidence about my self again. I’m forever thankful doc!
