Service Provided by Front Office Staff
My husband had an appointment scheduled with you on Tuesday, February 14th at 3:30 pm. However, when we arrived at the clinic, we were informed that the appointment was scheduled for the following week. To make matters worse, the front office staff member who attended to us was extremely rude and unprofessional. She seemed disinterested in helping us and was dismissive of our concerns.

This Doctor needs to retire! He is rude! When a patient leaves in tears I feel as if the job was done poorly. Have some compassion for your patients explain things so they understand not belittle them. This is really unacceptable behavior from a Doctor and I hope you read this and understand not everyone is perfect!

The doctor did a thorough assessment on initial visit. He has a PA who is also friendly and listens well and answer questions. The tech is very hurried because she does blood draws and brings parents to the rooms and take vital signs. ( multi tasking).

I've always had a great experience at Dr. Hylton's office. He takes his time during every physical and so does each PA. I always wanted a family doctor to visit and or call with all of my family's needs. Dr. Hylton's office is the place where I found that kind of service.

I treated with Dr. Hylton back in 2014-2015 but relocated and changed doctors. I returned this year and re-established care. Since I've only been seen by the wonderful PA. The issue is the lack of proactiveness. No one calls to discuss blood work results or other diagnostics ordered. It is very rare that anyone answers the phone. On one occasion they attempted to cancel an appointment without notifying me. Everyone seems knowledgeable but the customer care could be improved. If you refer us to a facility, they should be providing the reports to you and you in turn following up with patients. Since returning I've been left to wonder where I stand medically.

This is not a critique of Dr. Hylton, but of his office staff. Referrals submitted 2-3 weeks in advance of surgery do not receive attention. Need to make multiple calls to obtain referral. This didn't used to happen, but lately the office is grossly negligent.

I have never had an issue with Dr Hylton or his PA but when I needed to be seen when I was sick not once but two seperate occasions I was told the earliest appt was a week later well when you have Strep that is not an option so I had to go elsewhere. To me being a patient for over 20 years this is unacceptable and you either need to not take on new patients or hire additional help. My last phone call this week to schedule an appointment 3 days ago has never been returned. So if you are looking for someone to help in a time of need you may need to look elsewhere.

My husband has been going to Dr Hylton for several years and I started in October 2017. I must say he is a very caring, professional, kind, highly knowledgeable doctor. He listens, discusses and is honest with you regarding your best care and is focused on your holistic well-being. Having gone through the death of our son several years ago, he has helped us deal with the aftermath and the lingering residual effects. I would highly recommend him. His staff is also very much like him. Great.
