Very Unprofessional
I have 3 kids. I have taken my first 2 to John Kukay since they were born. And never had any issues with him until I had my 3rd. After alot of research & seeing connections of autism & vaccines,(my oldest being autistic) I had decided against vaccinations for my youngest. When I refused vaccinations, his whole attitude and demeanor changed towards me. He is not kind at any wellness visits. He is usually warm, makes jokes, and comes in the room with exciting energy saying “WHERESSS XXXX!” But now he is stern on letting me know he is not happy with my decision. He has made comments to make me feel bad & told me to find a new medical professional for my child, and at this point, I have no choice but to. I figured I’d stick with him anyways since I was comfortable with him and knew what a great dr he COULD be. He has refused to sign any paperwork for schools, daycare and so forth, even though there is a section to sign for unvaccinated children on the forms. Very shocked and disappointed!

Very disappointed with Dr. Kukay. I made an appointment for my son to see him even though that’s not his PCP (we couldn’t get into his PCP). I told the doctor that I would like to switch my sons PCP to him because we just moved to Elyria and it would be more convenient. The doctor then proceeded to tell me it’s not a good idea because my son isn’t vaccinated ( for reasons I will not address on here) and that goes against policies. I asked him if it was against his policies or Cleveland Clinics and he said both. Very sad to see a doctor turning down medical care for a child because they aren't vaccinated.

Do not go to this doctor. He is rude an unprofessional. He questioned our family dynamic (I am a foster - to - adopt) mom and insisted on calling me "Auntie" even though I made it clear multiple times that I go by "Mom" to my kids. I have never been so disgusted with a medical professional.

I refused to give my son the flu shot at his 1 year check up and was told social services would be calling to discuss my decision with me. He made it clear it wasn't children's services and no one would be taking my children so I didn't worry at first. The more I thought on it the more confused I got. So I called the office back to find out why I was being referred to social services. I was informed it was due to the fact that there is concern for the health of my child. Que eye roll
