I spoke w/lace he says if no biopsy she can make an appt when I return n wk. we can discuss option. nite b4 biopsy a nurse calls 2 do pre check-in. mom says COPD nurse says o no ppl w/copd have hard time w/biopsy collapsed lung ect. mom cancels. Goes 2 biop result appt. As we sat in the room laces ASSt. Comes in with all kinds of attitude says u didn't get ur biop. mother says copd thing. ASSt says iv never heard of that b4. I say I spoke 2 lace....she told me dont challenge me. She went back 2 tell lace. come back n says lace said get a biopsy or get hospice. Floored, mom says Ive no symptoms. ASSt says it doesn't matter. I asked what would the diagnosis be that would put her in hospice? No answer. Mom is 86 cooks cleans lives on her own pays her bills. Lace hid n his office never seeing us.. The ASSt was beyond unprofessional. It was almost like they were throwing tantrums. We left n filed complaint

My aunt was sent to Dr Lace after being diagnosed with lung cancer. It was a nightmare. His staff was rude, never answered calls and was in zero rush to get her in. All scans had to be hand carried from Roseville to GV. 3 months went by and she still had no treatment plan in place due to their office, never following up even though we called constantly. We finally went to a different doctor to find out her cancer had spread to her liver and was now stage 4. New doctor has her in chemo in 2 weeks. I wouldn't recommend my worst enemy to Dr Lace. This won't let me rate 0 stars, so he gets 1.

Dr Lace saved my husband's life years ago and now I am seeing him for significant asthma and nighttime oxygen use. He is kind, listens well, gives beneficial advice and is detail-oriented. I am very happy to be one of his patients.

Linda is super rude!! I previously wrote a review for not being seen for my 3:30 appt. but arriving at 3:25. I'm a childcare provider so leaving 6-8 toddlers in the care of someone else is almost impossible. I showed up and was told I wouldn't be seen unless I had been 15 minutes early. I wrote an honest review based on my experience. Months later I try to reschedule today, and Linda answered stating they would decline to schedule me, I need to see a different Doctor, I was 35 minutes late for my appt ( which is a complete lie- but whatever makes her feel better I suppose), and I wrote "really bad things about them". That is also a lie. I wrote an honest review. Here's another one!! SLEEP STUDIES ARE IMPORTANT YA'LL AND CAN BE INDICATIVE OF LIFE OR DEATH SITUATIONS! Linda, you should try finding a job that you enjoy and unrelated to customer service. Put yourself in someone else's shoes and stop the lying-- it'll catch up to you one of these days. I will happily be seen elsewhere

Like most reviews of Dr. Lace's business I had a terrible experience...Office personnel are very rude and accusatory to their mistakes. No follow-up after prescribed antibiotics. After months I finally got the Dr. To call me back after trying numerous times finally resorting to a REGISTERED LETTER complaining about his staff's rudeness and unable to leave a message or an email. He explained his system is old and that's the way he does it. I am a senior on Medicare where the PARTICIPATING PROVIDERS cannot charge more than what Medicare pays yet I got a bill for an extra $71.36 regardless. After my phone conversation with Dr.Lace after sending my registered letter I said I'd give him another chance after not hearing from him for months after he prescribed the second type of antibiotics he said I'd get an appointment to see him but instead I got no appointment only a bill for the extra charges he shouldn't have billed me on Medicare and being a PARTICIPATING PROVIDER...no stars

My mom has had a terrible time with this practice. She won't say anything for fear that they'll be even worse with her case. The doctor is fine. But, the office and the staff have been rude and incompetent. At least 3 different times they said they did something and they didn't. Referrals didn't get done and an order for oxygen equipment sat in a pile even though they told my mom for days that they already sent it in and it must be someone else's fault. Each time they would make her feel bad for asking. Heaven forbid she ask them if they've done their job when her health is at risk. I'm telling anyone I know that it's worth it to drive a little further for another specialist.

Although I really like Dr. Lace and he's a great doctor, I'm not pleased with how his practice is run. The office staff are rude and unhelpful. I needed to restock my CPAP supplies after my insurance changed--the required I come in for a doctor visit and wait 2 months to get in. It's been another month, and I just found out that the provider they sent my request to, does not accept my insurance. Did they call to let me know? No. I had to call them to follow-up on why it was taking so long and that's when I found out. The office staff person was rude to me and tried to blame me for it taking so long. I'd like to talk to Dr. Lace personally about my concerns (and they are shared by many others I know), but there is no way to talk to him about this without paying for an appointment--he has no way for patients to contact him directly otherwise.

I'm a 15 yr survivor of advanced COPD and during that time have seen a lot of medical experts. Dr. Lace is by far the best pulmonologist I have seen. He is the only 1 I have seen that I would recommend for someone to go too. Nuff said

Front office staff is close to rude.Don't let them put U off.1st apt took 2 mos.canceled by MD.2d apt was 2 mos.Lace reviewed my records as part of first meeting so history was fresh in his mind & guided his own interview.Focused on me and my problem, did not feel I was on a conveyor belt.He kept interview focused concise.they called as soon as test results were in,follow up Q&A were through ft off but same day answers. Feel Doc will be excel. Nxt apt will be sch B4 tst. Feel 1st comment unfair.

REFERRED BY LOCAL PCP in Grass Valley, CA – Jan 23, 2016
×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Lace?
He interpreted my sleep study, very superficial - just scratched the surface, overlooked major particuliarities and abnormalities, as if he was a novice or a student! There was no insight into the root of symptoms, although a lot was captured by the study. My PCP almost accepted his interpretation, until I drew his attention that something was very wrong with this interpretation: PCP became so upset, didn't want to contact Dr. Lace and looked for another proffessional. I recommend: DOUBLE CHECK!
