Dr. John Lazar, MD

Not a great experience as I was given two options for the type of surgery that would need to be done and unfortunately had a completely failed surgery. Also have been calling the office and emailing the email address that was given to me as I had questions about an appointment and haven’t gotten a response even after 8 attempts. Seemed like a good surgeon but this was very disappointing and quite frankly traumatic to fake up from anesthesia to four incisions and a chest tube with no result when failure had never been remotely discussed. I since went to Cleveland clinic where I got the surgery with no problems and would highly recommend that to anyone considering robotic thoracotomy.

I am a retired, university-trained, privately practicing physician who was on the staff of two major hospitals. I know excellence and watched many fine and and some famous docs do their thing (as well as quite a few stinkers). I view physicians who treat me with an educated, critical eye. I needed not emergent but urgent major chest surgery. My hunt took me to Dr. Lazar. He is an excellent doc and superb physician without the all-too-prevalent attitude. Heartily recommended!
