He is the best!! I have been his patient for over 20 years. He listens patiently, explains carefully, really cares and never rushes you.Needless to say he is up on the literature and very knowledgeable. I taught anatomy and physiology at USC Undergraduate for over 15 years and at Midlands Tech over 5 years. Saying that I never leave his office without being amazed at his depth of knowledge and he does it without being overbearing or aloof. He makes you very comfortable. In summation if your his patient you hit the jackpot!

I am 95 years old and have been a patient of Dr. Lazaro since he moved to West Columbia. He is the best! His staff is also very reliable in returning calls. When problems come up between checkups I am able to speak with his nurse for guidance and see him if necessary within a reasonable amount of time. He is always pleasant, listens patiently, addresses all issues, explains the diagnosis, answers questions and is concerned with the physical as well as the emotional health of his patients. A real caring physician that listens
Dr. Lazaro first was my mother's internist and is now mine and my husban's. He is one of the most caring and knowledgeable doctors I know. He spends a great deal of time with each patient and really gets to know them. My husband is not a patient person when it comes to waiting for doctors, or even going to them. But he loves Dr. Lazaro and trusts him completely, as I do. Dr. Lazaro listens to what you are saying and recommends tests, blood work, etc. only when it makes sense. He does not just order tests, etc. without very good cause and he always has alternatives when you are not sure about how to proceed. You would be lucky to have him as your physician.

Dr. Lazaro has been my primary physician for over 5 years now. I am extremely satisfied with the care I have received while under his care. Extremely compassionate, courteous, kind, (and funny). His staff is well-qualified to handle any issue that may arise. Always a pleasure to see Dr. Lazaro, even though I'm sick.
