MVD Surgery-Top Notch Team
Dr. Lee and his team were patient, compassionate, and transparent. They provided all the necessary information and any explanations or clarifications that I requested. Dr Lee performed the surgery successfully. I am pain-free after years of suffering with trigeminal neuralgia. I would recommend Dr. Lee and his caring staff to anyone struggling with this condition. Although the surgery is elective, brain surgery is a frightening prospect and Dr. Lee was positive and encouraging without adding any pressure to move forward with the operation.

On Feb 26th I was diagnosis with a brain tumor. I went to Dr Lee for a second opinion because I know how great Penn Medicine is from my son having a brain tumor over 16 yrs ago at Chop. We live over 2 hours away from Philadelphia. We had to do a Tele-medicine appt in March due to the Covid-19 pandemic and all surgeries were put on hold at that time. I recently had surgery with Dr Lee on 6-23-20 to remove a Meningioma on my right side of my brain that was close to my sinus cavity. He & his staff is also great and calmed all the fears I had. They moved quickly, answered my questions & scheduled all my pre admission testing so I didn't have to make more than one trip. I am pleased to say my surgery went well & my recovery was amazing. I didn't have any deficits from the surgery which he said I might. Dr. Lee is a excellent surgeon he is meticulos and precise. I would highly recommend Dr Lee to anyone and if I had to do it all over again I would do it in a hearbeat! Thank you Dr. Lee !

Dr. Lee saved my life and by far is the best neurosurgeon in the country. I had trigeminal neuralgia and he did a microvascular decompression on me (MVD) and upon waking up from surgery I did not have any face pain whatsoever. It brought me to tears. He is so kind, caring, compassionate, cares about all of his patients and their outcomes and provides top notch care. He is extremely intelligent as well and very funny. He is a neurosurgical god. His nurse practitioner, Denise is also one of a kind and so smart, kind, caring and will do whatever is necessary to ensure the best outcome. Dr. Lee's other nurses are just amazing as well and his whole office staff is so nice and very welcoming and they know how to calm your nerves. Needing neurosurgery is not pleasant, but they make it a whole lot better. Penn Medicine is amazing. I would recommend Dr. Lee and his team to anyone for any neurosurgical needs. He is one of a kind and I would do it all over again if I had to.

Tumor debulked in Foramen Magnum and Brainstem. Perfect knowledge of anatomy, perfect dexterity and finesse needed in locations. A successful operation is not just about tumor removal, it is about your Surgeon giving you the feeling of finally feeling like a normal person-better than ever. I had about 40 symptoms prior to surgery from the tumor being in the Foramen Magnum and on the Brainstem. Just a few of my symptoms-extreme weakness, clumsiness in hands, walking into people, swallowing difficulty and numbness, numb side of face, neck pain, violent shaking of arm, and much more. They happened daily and intermittently. After my surgery they were gone. I felt on top of the world and finally like a normal person and continue this day 8yrs later. Dr. Lee has unrivaled perfect knowledge of the brain, the skill-dexterity and finesse in doing dangerous critical structures. He develops new surgical techniques and used one to do my surgery-perfect surgery, perfect brain outcome!

EXTRAORDINARY skill, knowledge, passion for Neurosurgery. ACHIEVES successful outcomes for all his patients. My tumor -inaccessible location (Foramen Magnum ) the brainstem too-THE DANGEROUS locations of brain. The Foramen Magnum location is where surgeons feel they LACK in the "highly skilled"category. NOT all surgeons are created equal in knowledge and skill. Too, I came out of that surgery with NOT one deficit and the deficits I had before surgery many GONE and few others greatly DIMINISHED
