Wasted appointment & wrong diagnosis
I saw him when I developed foot pain. Without x-raying, he gave me the totally wrong diagnosis and treatment. He gave me a shot, then scheduled a followup 2.5 weeks later. When I got to there he had made the appointment too early! He was like “What are you doing here? 2 weeks is too early to see if it is helping.” I heard the girl scheduling appointments ask him “we’ve got an open appointment on [this date], will that work for her or is it too early?” And he said “yeah that’s fine.” Then he had the gall to charge me and my insurance for his mistake. I then saw another pediatrist who, when he heard Dr. Longobardo’s diagnosis couldn’t believe it, neither could he believe he made it without doing an x-ray. Turns out I had a condition that was very easy to diagnose, but the new doctor did a x-ray anyway to confirm his belief. Dr. Longobardo’s treatment (shot type/location) was/would have continued to be ineffective for that condition which ultimately required surgery.

I was very impressed how personable and attentive Dr. Longobardo was during my first visit seeing him. He explained everything regarding my condition and answered all my questions and provided realistic outcomes of the proposed treatment plan.
