Not a knuckle surgeon
I made a bad decision by letting Dr Mahoney attempt to replace my main middle finger knuckle on my right hand.The position of the knuckle ended up three quarters closer to my wrist than the rest on my hand and flat.After 5 weeks of rehab I never regained any use of the middle finger as he failed to reconnect the tendons the gives me any control over the middle finger and now it just hangs there. Went back to him to try to remedy the situation by attaching the tendons. After he injected numbing agent in my hand he said he would be right back any try to reattach the tendons. At that point I got to my feet and replied forget it you tried to replace the knuckle one time and that was good out come and I walked out of the building. Going to find a real surgeon that can remedy my hand problems.

Doctor provided a thorough consultation including X-ray. Ruled out broken digits. Recommended strengthening ball and naproxen for arthritis pain.

I would definitely recommend Dr Mahoney. Awesome
He explained to me my issue and what he felt would be the best treatment at that time. He listens to your concerns and helps to ensure you understand everything, and answers questions without making you feel like your just a number.
