Dr. John Malone, DO

I changed insurance and got an appt 3 weeks out. However I already had an appt with a specialist in two weeks. The wonderful gals in the office moved mountains and got me in to see the doctor in 2 days....enough time to process a referral and keep my appt with the specialist. I have just seen Dr. Malone, what a delight. He is smart, knows his field, friendly and good at what he does. He found I was missing some tests, they are now scheduled. He also scheduled my blood work and added a couple of items, scheduled this years tests and got me a flu shot. He took a considerable amount of time to go over all my issues, explain my options, and gave me confidence that I have finally found a great doctor!!!. His staff is wonderful, always a smile, efficient and very nice.

I only had one initial appointment with Dr. Malone, which was uneventful and brief. Months later, out of the blue, his office practice began nuisance phone calls two or three times a week to drum up new, unnecessary appointments. I enjoy good health and have no known issues. The calls became increasingly aggressive, culminating in one message informing me that my insurance required me to make an appointment by the end of the business day a couple days later. I called the insurance company and they said there was no such requirement. I sent Dr. Malone a letter asking him to curb the aggressive marketing which I experienced as harassment, or I would change doctors. It stopped for a few months, and then began again. I sent a second letter to Dr. Malone informing him I wouldn't be coming back to his practice, and why. I don't know if the calling was driven by the medical practice to drum up business, or if it was being promoted behind the scenes by the Optimum insurance company.

Doctor John Malone is in Hudson, FL. My husband and I have been under his care for a few years now. I can’t imagine him receiving a bad review. He is caring and patient. He is knowledgeable. He answer all our questions. We have never felt rushed! He takes the time to know us and our medical issues. I feel lucky to have found a good MD.

I found Dr Malone to be very pleasant, attentive and knowledgeable. Look forward to a "healthy" relationship going forward.

I have been seeing Dr. Malone for several yrs. He’s attentive, very knowledgeable, a great diagnostician. The staff is friendly and professional. No complaints at all.

Absolutely unprofessional, unconcerned and had I not been my wife’s advocate my wife would have likely died. This is the worse practice I’ve ever dealt with bar none. Do yourself a favor and find a different doctor

Dr Malone is attentive, knowledgeable and curious. He’s sincerely interest in my well being and is open to my participation in my healthcare. I’m very satisfied with him as my doctor.

He is the right doctor for you if you have no time consuming medical conditions to deal with. He is a quick visit doctor otherwise he will have anyone but him see you. High turnover of P.A's and second doctors. Hard too establish a good patient doctor relationship.i have to recite my medical history every time a new person comes in too cover patients.

Dr. Malone is awesome. Very attentive and very good with what he do. Very careing and understanding.

Made an appointment as a new patient specifically for a routine physical. After I filled about all the paperwork. The receptionist told me I had a 25.00 copay. I told her no, there is no copay for a physical. Then she proceeds to tell me the Dr. Does not do a physical until he knows what my ailment is. I told her I don't have any ailments. I made the appointment strictly for a physical. She said hold on let me ask the Dr. She comes back and says he won't perform a physical. Total waste of time.

He is conservative in his treatment and has a good rapport with patients.

Great doc and office

Dr. Malone doesn't listen to his patients. He treats his patients as "medical school textbook" collective cases instead of as individual cases; we're not a collective. He treats by "test results and not by how a patient feels." And, typically most doctors will go will go by both, especially if a patient has dealt with a chronic illness for a long time and paid attention to it! This is more of a Regressive doctor than a Progressive doctor.

Making appointment - employee was rude. Follow up from nurse with test results - rude, extremely not helpful - provided no guidance - will not be back or recommend.

His staff is the worst I have ever delt with. They do not return your calls and act as if they dont know you!

Took the time to answer all my questions and did not rush me to get to other patients. Very easy to talk to.

Malone left me begging for over 10 months for a wrist specific MRI the surgeon needed, and he would not let me have it until Humana told him to. My torn wrist tendon healed badly from his neglect, and is now being taken care of by a more competent doctor who asked why this was allowed to happen. In my opinion, one star is too much for him. He is in this biz. for the wrong reason. He may spend the time, but he isn't really there. If you got seriously injured, don't look for help from him.

He is thorough. Good bedside manner. No complaints. Long wait time, though.
