Dr. Mitchell saw me as a patient between 2003 and 2006 for depression, ADHD, and anxiety. I was treated without my personal consent because I was underage. My parents approached him after my behavior was deemed 'difficult', specifically because I was not engaging at school. Dr. Mitchell had me on twice the daily dose of the ADHD medication Adderall, which is a controlled substance. I lost weight rapidly, prompting my school nurse to approach my parents about an eating disorder. He had me on strong medication, including medication for Bipolar disorder (e.g. lithium) without consistent blood testing. I have never, including during his care, been diagnosed with Bipolar disorder. I suffered performance issues, ongoing heart problems, and other side effects which still persist. This man should not be practicing, and one wonders what his motivations are for prescribing what he does; parental pressure? financial incentives from pharmaceutical partners? I don't know, but I wonder.

Dr Mitchell is a true professional. He demonstrates the true meaning of healing. I came to him broken and leaving a better person who can use the tools necessary to maintain a sense of normal. I wish him the best in his future endeavors.

I’ve been seeing Dr Mitchell for over 12 yrs. He’s very compassionate and listens well. He does everything in his power to help me manage my disorders. I trust him very much so much so that I refuse to see any other doctor even though he does not accept my insurance and I pay full price for each appointment. I also travel 1.45 hours to see him. I highly recommend Dr Mitchell!

Dr. Mitchell has cancelled 3 of my last four appointments. I need a doctor who is dependable and who cares about my best interest. Seems he is more worried about the American dollar and pushing patients in and out like cattle.
