Good quality care
Dr. Nairn is a kind good doctor. He found a tumor on my iris and sent me to the Cleveland clinic to an oncology ophthalmologist. Thankfully it was benign. He has worked with the Cleveland Clinic doctor to treat my eye. After the tumor was removed at Cleveland clinic, Dr Nairn put a seton tube drain into my eye to control my eye pressure. I’m grateful for the care. Dr Paul also was involved in my care. It was nice to have more than one doctor to see, so had a lot of visits. That being said, my main complaint is the wait times at AIO are awful. You need to set aside 3 hours for every visit. And it doesn’t matter if you go to West Mifflin, Monroeville, or Butler offices.

Did unnecessary surgery causing me to go blind
Treated me for glacoma in my right eye. Did surgery which reduced my vision 30% in that eye. Insisted I needed surgery in my left eye although there was no loss of vision or optic nerve damage. Claimed I had moderate glacoma although this was not the case. Bumped my lens causing a soft cataract to form and blind in this eye. Dr. Condon (now retired) removed the soft cataracts and I regained sight. It’s been about 8 years now and although at risk for glacoma in the left eye, I still have not developed it. Thanks to my new glacoma specialist, I have been stable and have 20-20 vision in both eyes! Avoid Dr. Nairn and keep your vision!

Cannot recommend
He did cataracts on both eyes and I am having issues seeing clearly after paying over $7000. He did nothing to help correct my vision just said well you picked that lens. I had numerous follow up appointments and he never came in to even talk to me just passed me to an Optometrist. I feel my vision is worse and I ruined my eyes. I cannot recommend this provider do your homework, I wish I did.

If arrogance, apathy, and a condescending attitude appeals to you he’s your man! He ruined my one eye and when I told him I wanted to wait to get cataract surgery the other eye he told me I had to get it done right away so the other eye would heal up. I felt like I was talking to a used car salesman. I paid 4000 extra dollars for a specialty lens. When I told my optometrist the story he never heard of such a thing that it wouldn’t heal up and less I got the other eye done immediately. I got my other eye done by a different ophthalmologist and fortunately the surgery on my second eye went very well. I suggest you avoid him like the plague

I saw Dr. Gregory Dziubek on 6/26/2030. I had an allergic reaction to Alphagan and he was in agreement with Dr. Stephen Reinsel’s decision. He was very helpful and put my mid at ease.

Had two surgeries to reduce IOP after glaucoma drops no longer worked. Dr. Narin is great. To have a surgeon of his caliber less than a two-hour drive from my home is a real blessing. I would highly recommend him

This office in West Mifflin has outgrown this space. It is a very busy practice . Upon arrival you are to register at a kiosk of which there are only 2 for so many patients. Many of the patients are elderly and have diminished vision so requiring them to register at a kiosk is ludicrous. The line to register can only be compared to a grocery line. There is a sign to ask for help if needed but all staff are extremely busy. Many patients do not understand the process and it is very time consuming and slow. They need to have a larger office and a registering process that is more user friendly to visually compromised patients.

DR Nairn being one of them and can not say I have run into anyone there that does not care. Always feel like they are there for me.
