If I could give less than 1 star I would. I am extremely disappointed with the lack of professionalism and compassion shown by Dr. Puente. My 78-year-old grandmother was treated with utter disrespect and rudeness. When she was transferred to him for a medical concern, he berated her for calling during his weekend with his family. A doctor should show care and empathy, especially to elderly patients, but Dr. Puente demonstrated none. I would not recommend him to anyone seeking considerate and compassionate medical care.

I met Dr Puente in 2019, and I still think back to how horrible our appointment went. As a deeply depressed person possibly going through a diagnosis of multiple sclerosis he had the nerve to ask me “how do you know you’re depressed?”. So in tears I told him “when you never wanna wake up again, you have an idea”. Thankfully I was sent to a different doctor by my primary, there are better neuros in the Omaha area. I wish you the best!

I have chronic migraine which he has treated very effectively. I also have MS that he has been very conscientious with respecting my opinions. He travels to several different cities for his patients convenience.

Dr Puente is one of the best Drs I have ever had or even heard of. He is really easy to talk to and to understand. He is super accessible. He really cares about his patients. I have been battling migraines since I was a teenager. He worked with me until we found something that really helps me and that was not an easy task! We had to try a lot of different medications and treatments. He is patient and really just a kind human being.

He is seriously the best neurologist I have ever had and will have. I have battled migrains for years now and even more after brain surgery. I waited months to see him and it’s worth it for sure. He respected my wishes on not wanting certain medications and made sure to go back to day one with my history to find something best for me. He introduced me to Botox injections and was soooo helpful and kind. Don’t go to anyone else! ??

In the 18 years he's been treating patients I'm one of his youngest. He's easy to talk to, explains things very well. Communicates with my other doctors, doesn't push for expensive brain scans although he does recommend them. Ease of scheduling is great and I couldn't be more happy with the man who cares about how deeply the problem I see him for affects me at 19 years of age

Dr Puente's bedside manner could not have been worse. He belittled issues and insulted longstanding problems. He never answered my questions, instead asked why I hadn't asked other doctors these questions. I will never return to Dr. Puente. Please, never, ever, visit him. You will regret it. The rest of the staff at Neurology Consultants was excellent, but my encounter with him was devastating and ruined the whole experience,

Dr. Puente has always been of great help to me. I've been through several neurologists in Lincoln and they don't compare to his compassion and respectfulness. I'm so glad he's my doctor.

Can not ethically treat patients. He is also very indecisive and if you don't like what he has to say, he is very quick to back down instead of Defending his actions. There is no way that I would want to be treated by him after my initial appointment, what a coward.
