Horrid for someone dealing with trauma under 18
Arrogant and ignores actual information. Complete lack of respect for myself and my child . Im all for docs that are short sweet and to the point but when you argue with me about medical records and actual information you have no business talking to my kid. Docs like this enjoy giving people medication to shut them up instead of working with their issues. Im still shocked he argued with me that Bipolar is never environmental when you can look at DSM-5 and see it

I have been misdiagnosed for years. Dr Riedler did in one session what no one else has been able to do in 6 years. Truth is truth and sometimes its hard to hear. My only regret is not fighting to keep him as a doctor instead I opted to have the VA cover my treatment which only told me what I wanted to hear and not what needed to be said.

Thankfully Virginia Behavioral Medicine is closed. This was the worst center that I’ve ever been to for my mental health. You could tell by the immense level of turnover, the lack of care by the receptionists, and the non-caring nature of visits.

As a Retired vet with PTSD and ADHD it's hard to find the right Doc. This one is Awsome and a caring Doctor. He was not a hand shaker and during the current state were in I can understand why. I miss him since I moved out of State and Highly recommend him and his terrific staff

I know and would never recommend this doctor due to his behavior . Why does he continue to have his license?!?! I refused him as my doctor while hospitalized and Dr Screiber covered for him and would not let anyone in the practice see me because of it, the truth.

I've only been a few times. However, Dr. Riedler and his staff are awesome I felt comfortable the first day I went in, and that's rare for me. He has helped me so much, I feel better than I have in years. Thank God, I've found the help I need with my many issues. Thank you to Dr. John Riedler and his staff. Erma W.

My experience with Dr. Riedler was that I refer him every time I can! He is NOT a hand holder or HAND SHAKER! He is there to assess, diagnose, and treat. Who cares if he shakes your hand. Get over it! I have referred most likely 6 people to him in 3 years, and they have all approved of the treatment plans implemented. Great job! He does not sugar coat the truth. People, reality hurts sometimes. You have to face it to move on.

Horrible Dr. Run! He arrogantly misdiagnosed my husband within 5 minutes, refused to look at his chart and psychological test results. Complete narcissist. He had my husband on meds for bipolar, which 2 other Drs disagree with, nowy husband is dealing with permanent extreme tardive dyskinesia. Run!

I actually really like him. I think my therapist gives me the hand holding when i need it and he gives me the tough love when i need it. I think a lot of people are confused. if you want bedside coddling go to a therapist. he's there to make sure your meds are working and he does. I like him a lot and he has helped me hear what i need to hear.

Horrible Dr. and Human. Did not shake my extended hand hello, cell, laptop and looking out window as I was talking, asking if going to rain more important. ZERO Compassion, Arrogant, dismissive, narcissistic. I was sent to him and history in system, knew nothing about me. If I can save just one person from this added emotional trauma, if I can urge you,,, please if one person reads this for themselves or someone they are helping, DO NOT GO TO HIM made me feel worse.

I agree with most of the 1 or 2 star comments. Arrogant, rude and NEVER ON TIME. He never knows who you are. He's really not a people person, he has no bedside manners. Once I saw a review about him that said RUN. Three (3l times I've stopped going to him and ended up back. He wouldn't allow me to see someone else in the office and it's hard to find another Dr.. The last visit, I walked out, I will never come back to see Reidler. I found a great place now. Office staff are great!

In all my life I have never meant any Dr get mad if you ask question. If you need help and go to this man you may leave feeling defeated instead of feeling like you have been helped. This could put you in more risk. Scary

Dr. R is great. Met him when hospitalized. His pragmatic and professional demeanor was comforting in the midst of chaos. He knows meds very well and worked tirelessly to find the right combo for me. He is brilliant and insightful. We've had many discussions about meds, mental illness, and living a stable life. Is his manner warm and tender? No, but that's not what he's there for. I go to my support group for that. My son now sees him and is also having a great experience with him.

If I could leave negative stars, I would. I can't comprehend how this man can remain in this profession. This man was demoralizing, demeaning, arrogant, abrasive, defensive, and combative. He became this way any time that I asked questions. If I were a doctor, I would be worried if my patient DIDN'T ask questions. He told me that 1) my PCP could't do anything for me because "he can't do what I do, and 2) when I asked for a professional recommendation for someone in my area who could, he refused.

Arrogant, combative, and totally unconcerned with my condition. He told me I wasn't being honest after I bared my soul in hopes of improving my life and he said he wouldn't prescribe anything for me and essentially told me he didn't want to have anything to do with me. I went in desperate for help and he was combative and accused ME of being combative when I all I did was answer his questions honestly and humbly. He wouldn't even shake my hand. He basically kicked me out of his office.
