Had an endoscopy procedure by Dr Ryan on 3-4-25 to fix a swallowing issue. Should have been an easy process - NOT. The surgery center way overloaded me with anesthesia so I was out of it and had severe diarrhea for 2 days after. The procedure did nothing to fix my problem - still have the same swallowing issue. This was a terrible experience with no upside.

Dr. Ryan may be a highly specialized trained professional in his field but he and his office staff have much to learn re: patient relations. This rating will be brief but should cover at least the basics without compromising my medical conditions. My main issues with Dr. Ryan is his hurried aporoach as to visits and consultations and not explaining what a procedure will entail. He does not explain what other diseases could be diagnostically ruled out to put a patient at ease re: ruling out other disease; either pre/post treatment. You either have to probe with specific questions or you will remain in the dark about your results. Finally, in my case after I decided to not continue my services with his office or his treatment, he refused to provide a refferal to a highly respected medical facility that I asked to make a referral to as they would not allow a patient to do it. There are other issues but I will not belabor the point.

Dr. Ryan is very knowledgeable about issues with the digestive system. He listens to everything I have to say and responds accordingly. He always wants to get to the cause of my problems and resolve them as soon as possible. I certainly appreciate that in a doctor. Dr. Ryan didn’t make me feel rushed and never has with previous visits. I recommend him to anyone that asks me about my gastrointestinal doctor!

Horrible experience every step of the way. 1. Inital visit. I came in severe pain with swallowing, even water hurt. Had a 3 mins exam with Dr. Ryan orders a Endoscopy. Tells me they will call to schedule. Guess what 2.5 months before they can schedule me. I cant swallow water people. After throwing a fit i get an appt. In 3 weeks for procedure. 2. Show up at scheduled time for Endoscopy 7:30 appointment. I sit in the back until 2 pm before i am seen. Come out of anesthesia, Dr. Ryan comes in and says we didnt find anything and sent for a biopsy but if you dont hear from me it means there is nothing wrong and leaves. Never to be seen or heard from again. 3. They sent my biopsy to an out of network lab, costing me hours of phone calls and extra money. 4. I paid for every visit and bill when recieved. Now 15 months after the procedure i received a random bill for an additional $185 stating they made a mistake and just realized the mistake recently but can even give m
