Dr. John Sassano, MD

Dr. Sassano is an excellent provider. He takes the time to listen and answers all questions posed to him. I am a long time patient at the pain clinic due to numerous spinal surgeries which have resulted in chronic pain. On the first visit with Dr. Sassano, he ordered an x-ray examination of both my cervical and lumbar spine in order to rule out any fractures or loose hardware implanted in my spine. This was the first time, this was ordered for me. On my follow-up visit, he went over the radiology results and explained why I continue to experience the pain I have. He is a very friendly, knowledgeable and compassionate physician and I highly recommend him.

EXCELLENT Pain Management Dr. .. I had searched for over a year to find a good P.M. Dr. .. Dr. Sassano took the time to listen to my issues &concerns , did a thorough exam and prescribed appropriate treatment. That was over 4 yr.s ago ... I'm devastated that he left ... but .. I wish him well with new venture

I’m shocked at all these bad reviews. Dr . Sassano was the best pain management doc I’ve ever had . The first appointment with him was very professional. He is a very kind hearted man with a lot of experience. When he left the office I was seeing him at I was so upset & I left also . I hope he comes back to my area again. Jill H

Dr. Sassano is a thief. He stole our idea and device for the rapid infusion device and called it his own. My co-worker and I both Perfusionists at Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh invented this and then taught the anesthesia department how to use it. We had many a long nights working along side Anesthesiologists showing them how to use this equipment. To see him get credit for this is such BS. You know what you did John.

Dr Sassano has helped me considerably!

Was given a spinal injection that went wrong! Was in excruciating pain, went back for a follow up visit and was told to be quit, as he talked to my husband. His remark was “ you don’t know what pain is, I fractured my neck”. He told my husband take all meds away because he was placing me on methadone. It made matters worse. I had no control over my bowels or bladder and wound up with a dropped foot and months in the hospital. A year and half later I is still have a dropped foot and extreme pain

I highly recomend Dr.Sassano he helped me through my leg amputation chronic and phantom limb pain, hes very compassionate and has a great bedside manner, hes one of the good ones that you never forget And i thank God for Drs like him !!

Beware! If you see this Dr. for pain in neck or back and have to wait 3 months to receive spinal injections (unbelievable in itself!) he will offer to write a RX for pain meds. DON'T TAKE HIM UP ON IT!! If you do, prepare to be billed over $4,000 for your required urine drug screen!! He sends it to a medical center lab hundreds of miles away in a tiny north Florida town. Why? Probably because he gets a kickback! What other reason could there be to use a lab that charges 4-6 times more?

Unbelievably rude, sexist and condescending. He suggested I have a procedure done; when I asked him about possible side effects, he told me to Google it. When I pressed him and asked for reasons why I might not have the procedure done, he told me I don't know -- you're an idiot? Or one of those stupid women who don't listen to their doctors? And then he said made a vague reference to stalkers and said he hoped I wouldn't fall in love with him. CREEPY.
