Did a hip replacement & revision popped out 15 X
I had a hip replacement in November 2020. It started popping out and I had a revision in August of 2021. I got a infection in my stitches…and it spread inside my hip It still kept popping out. Dr Songer,Dr Supik and Dr Gates all popped it back in 12 times. It hurt! I called & Dr Songer told his assistant to tell me that I needed to go to a pain clinic. Why didn’t he call me in and talk about why it kept popping out and get me a specialist. He basically threw me to the wolves. I had to be my own advocate and seek out a doctor in Asheville. He was concerned something serious was going on, so he sent me to a specialist in Charlotte North Carolina I could hardly walk and my new surgeon in Charlotte did two aspirations within a month and found out I had a very serious infection that had been in my r hip Surgery took out what was left of my revision. New surgeon put temp spacer in. On intravenous antibiotics for 6 weeks More surgery this past Feb Nightmare

I took my 14 year old son to see Dr. Songer for a shoulder injury. Our wait time was less than what I expected. The office staff was very friendly and helpful. Dr. Songer came in and told us that my son had a fractured arm. He was very kind and explained everything to my son, which made him feel more involved. At the end Dr. Songer asked if I had any questions, which I did not because he had gone over everything already. Wonderful experience. I would recommend him to everyone.
