Dr Steele never rushes and REALLY LISTENS to you. And then askes questions.

Dr. Steele shows that there's a lot to be said about older, vastly experienced doctors. I was referred to him by my best friend here in Sarasota, and I've never been disappointed. Example: when Sarasota Memorial Hospital recently was sending me down the wrong road of treatment for a mis-diagnosed illness, I had Dr. Steele review it before taking the medicines prescribed to me by SMH. He said he'd reviewed the x-ray, that I didn't have what SMH said I had and that I wasn't going to take any of the three medicines they had ordered for me because they were based on the wrong diagnosis. I took what he prescribed as a course of treatment and have gotten progressively better and better. That's what knowledge and experience will do for you.

I have visited Dr. John Steele many times over the year. I found that he has a genuine interest in my well being and health and he managed my issues and questions in a highly professional manner. Though, he does not talk much on his own unless you ask questions, this feature my show that he is not friendly. It does not matter to me. I consider his professionalism and interest in my well being more than anything.

Annual physical

Dr Steele was Mom's physician for years. He & Johanna provided excellent care every visit I accompanied. Mom worked in healthcare & not always receptive to tests etc yet Dr S had a knack! Having an incurable terminal illness did not make it easy for anyone. Having worked in healthcare; I don't impress easily. Yes, our entire medical & insurance system has issues yet quality care is quality care! They both were competent & helpful during very difficult years & even during covid years. I'd hoped they'd continue their care much longer yet Mom's pulmonologist retired so she had to go in home hospice care. Then, with covid spreading yet again & homebound on oxygen for IPF, died in hospice care (earlier & more difficult) had covid not been actively spreading yet again. Thank you Dr Steele and Johanna. Thank you to all who helped in his office, lab, medical records, phones, etc & radiology (not 1 woman) Thank you for taking covid seriously; compassionately protecting the vulnerable & all.

Dr. Steele has been my doctor for over four years. I am thankful to be his patient. He is caring, kind and takes his time listening to my concerns and questions. I work in health care in the operating room. When people like myself seek health care we know who to see and who NOT to see. I know that Dr. Steele has many patients like myself who work in health care. We know the top doctors and Dr. Steele is top on the list!
