Best Thorasic Doctor in town
Dr Stoneburner did a triple bypass for me and was there every day after ward with his team. Even after I left the hospital he stayed in touch. I had to have additional work done and he stood by us and walked us through that process, taking time to clarify and answer all our questions. He and His nurse Jane were amazing and we hold them in the highest regard.

Amazing Surgeon
Dr. Stoneburner performed the TAVR procedure for my sister and did an amazing job. He was very thorough in explaining the procedure and the risks involved. I am so thankful to him and the rest of the heart team at Torrance Memorial for taking care of my sister. True miracle workers. She felt so much better after the procedure and am forever grateful.

Outstanding Surgeon
Dr. Stoneburner repaired my congenital Ascending Aortic Aneurysm, using a Florida Sleeve. He also examined my bicuspid aortic valve, and concluded that the best decision for me was to leave the well-functioning valve in place. I was walking the next day, discharged within a week, and in Cardiac Rehab within two months. 6 months post-surgery, I only have the (rapidly fading) scars, the memories and the prescriptions to remind me that I even underwent the surgery.

I'm a CVICU RN for many many years(>40) wife/caregiver of a husband that had emergency CABG after complications fr unsuccessful risky procedure (stent on 100% single vessel). Dr Stoneburner for the first 24-48 hrs despite my husband’s condition (no signs of life; several codes, cardiac arrests) said”MIRACLES HAPPEN “! I believed & we’ve been home for 3 months now! Again, in my over 40yrs as CVICU RN, never did I hear a surgeon humble enough to admit there’s Divine Intervention who helps us down here Dr Stoneburner got the title of “Miracle Worker” to our family. We continue to Pray for him & his surgical team?????? Thank you is not enough but God takes care of you??????

It's been 1 1/2 years since I had a major surgery done by Dr Stoneburner. I have since left the state in order to live closer to family, but there is rarely a day that goes by I do not think of him and how very fortunate I was to have Dr Stoneburner as my surgeon. He along with his staff were excellent. Forever grateful.

Dr. Stoneburner performed a surgical lobectomy on me. He was excellent in his treatment. He explained everything in detail and made me feel confident in the procedure. He was thorough in his preparation and his follow-up, visiting several times in the hospital. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone needing thoracic surgery and I hope that everyone facing such a procedure has someone with his level of expertise and professionalism.
