He was very Belittling
I was a patient for several years and was ok with his curt manner till I developed an issue that was a little puzzling. He kept insisting it was a gyn issue would not listen to me and basically made me feel like a fool. I followed up with my gyn who stated it wasn’t related to a gyn issue. I will never go back to him. He needs to listen to a patient that knows their own body. I know he is the md but I am the keeper of my own health and I know what parts are in distress. Very disappointed in his lack of patience

The most efficient medical practice I have ever been a patient! I have been a patient for over a decade. I have the utmost confidence in Dr Stoneham's medical care. I find him professional. Caring. Friendly.

Would give NO STAR but not possible due to staff!
The doctor was top-notch. The staff was grade school girls who did not know how to get out of a paper bag. Never seem to understand what ANY patient is saying. Dec 28 202 left a urine sample for UTI check, three weeks later called for results, the office staff returned the call, the lab was over worked they had no results. It is now Feb 6 2021...almost 2 months later the staff said would call with results when in. No RESULTS to date. Pitiful office staff. Insurance is checking to see if they billed and on past billing, looking into insurance FRAUD, the staff is so incompetent.

Reviewing on behalf of my elderly mother. If I could give zero stars I would. My mother needed a urologist to help her manage kidney stones. This man's office was unwilling to provide her with HER ultrasound and x-ray reports, and subsequently adequate time to prepare prior to her visit, so that she could ask well-thought questions face to face. This is a critical component of proper healthcare. Clearly, you have missed this piece of information in your years of practice. Instead of being reasonable with her requests or providing her with appropriate care, he told her that she was the problem. How absurd. He was incapable of managing an 81 year old woman in need of medical care and a caring hand. Patients need sensitivity and understanding while vulnerable. If you're going to be a physician and work with human beings, you really need to work on your bedside manner. My mother is moving on and I warn others to stay clear of John Stoneham. We do not recommend.

Terrible level of care after a procedure. Complications ensued and the office is nearly impossible to reach on the phone and doesn't return calls left on voicemail. When you do finally get a person, you may as well be talking to your hand as the doctor or his nurse fail to call back. I just had to reach out to his 'on call coverage' after over 2 days of no response.

At first, Dr.Stoneham seemed arrogant, like he just wanted a diagnosis, didn’t care about my symptoms. But after my fourth visit, I had to get a procedure done and was very nervous and he was more than patient and kind. I left very happy after my visit. Changed my mind about him, that he took the time to make me feel calm when I was nervous. He may seem rude at first, but he knows what he is doing and he does care about the patients

No compassion for patients. Reception staff is not pleasant. Dropped off specimen and was promised a prescription would be called in shortly. Never was. I was not well. I needed a script. Office now only uses a service. They send a message to office. I called and service said they were gone for the day and they cannot contact a doctor. I was told to go to the Emergency Room. Yes. Sit hours and hours and risk my life now sitting there with covaid just to get a prescription? Don’t ever get sick on a weekend you will be told to go to the ER room. I was promised the dr would call or have the nurse call a prescription in for me. Apparently that was a lie. Don’t care if a patient is suffering. No compassion. Awful awful Office staff. You will be sorry if you need a dr After hours. You will be told the horrible words to go sit in an ER or just suffer till they get in. No thanks. I need a compassionate office. Not just one of the herd. That’s how it is there. Don’t trust you will get a cal

Be warned. This practice is a really over capacity with dozens of old men always lined up waiting to be seen. The staff does their best to keep the flow moving but they seem overwhelmed and the feeling of being assembly line medicine is really sad. My initial experience included being prescribed a wrong medication which ended up putting me in the hospital and in agony. Dr Stoneham is a smart guy but he’s cutting corners. Ask lots of questions if you go

Trying to call the office sucks-always a long wait. When someone does answer, they put you back on hold which you then wait yet again more than 3-4 minutes, then it rings and goes to voice mail. Their answering service on weekends is the worst...tried calling on a Saturday evening and was referred to another practice-from there I was referred to two more, and eventually ended up speaking with the first person I called... Dr. Stoneham seems knowledgeable

Dr Stoneham was the rudest most arrogant person I have ever dealt with in my life. No bedside manner at all. Careless & heartless during my cancer diagnosis. Literally never spent more then 3 minutes during each appointment, stood with his hand on the doorknob. Only positive thing he did was admitted he couldn't help me and referred me to a cancer hospital. Would NEVER recommend him to anyone!
