Rude
Very rude and dismissive . Seemed annoyed if you ask questions. I'll never go back to him again.

I'd give this doctor a ZERO if I could!
This doctor was rude, condescending, talked over me, treated me like I was stupid, acted like I was wasting his time, etc. I would not recommend him! Read other reviews specifically that other women have written about Dr. Tu! I would give him a zero rating if I could!

I found Dr Tu to be professional, knowledgeable, skilled and efficient. He discussed options for treatment as well as what could be expected with each. He listened to my concerns, found the source of my issue and skillfully removed it. I would recommend Dr Tu!

I have had to see Dr. Tu on several occasions, primarily because no other doctor at the practice was available. Both times he was extremely rude. He tried to prescribe me a medication that has adverse reactions with my antidepressant that I have been on for over 10 years and asked me if I could go off of the antidepressant to take the one he wanted me to, with no care in the World about what might happen if I was not on my antidepressant. I have several friends and family that went to him as well and have heard nothing but negative reviews. Other dermatologists in the area also have negative things to say about him. The only NPs I liked in the office left and ended up switching practices, primarily because of my negative experience with Dr. Tu.

I am a transgender man and have never met a provider so insensitive. I was seeking care for taking Isotretinoin (accutane) which you need to provide negative pregnancy tests for if you have the anatomy for having babies because the medication causes birth defects. This man asked me on multiple occasions "If I was being treated as a man or a woman". He was rude and dehumanizing. I am no stranger to educating providers on how to care for people like me but he was so terrible I said whatever I had to for the appointment to be over as soon as possible. I feel sorry for any of his future patients especially if they are transgender.

My first time visit with Dr Tu. Looks like he was in a rush and did not pay much attention to what I was trying to explain. Straight away, he suggested me some oral medication even though I said I wanted to try Topical. Very knowledgeable but certainly did not spend time to listen to my actual condition and questions. Highly disappointed.

I just had a visit with Dr. Tu as a new patient. He was very reassuring and knowledgeable. He was patient with me (I asked a lot of questions), and spent his time answering my questions. I feel like he really goes above and beyond. He opened up a time slot for my procedure, even though he was scheduled to be on vacation. Seems to be very dedicated to his work.

This was my first visit as a new patient. He walked in on me when I was changing... I'm a female patient and the nurse had just given me the gown moments before. I took off my shirt and pants then he suddenly walked in without knocking then never apologized. He came back in and the full body exam took all of five minutes. I wish I was exaggerating. He started to get up and leave THREE TIMES while I asked him questions. He talked over me multiple times. The nursing staff were all wonderful.

I was recently diagnosed with skin cancer by Dr. Tu. I appreciated that he removed the lesion within the timeframe he advised, and provided instructions and recommendations for follow up appointments. However, I found his approach in responding to my concerns and questions as condescending and patronizing, as he rushed through his explanations and excising of the lesion. It was disconcerting to hear the word cancer, and I needed some time to comprehend this new diagnosis. Very disappointing.
