Dr. Jon Cook, MD

This was a horrible experience. On Tuesday, April 1st, I scheduled an appointment via the THPG online scheduling portal. The portal allowed me to schedule an appointment for April 8th with Dr. Jon Michael Cook at his clinic in Coppell. I received a confirmation text on Tuesday night confirming my appointment was set for April 8th. The day after I scheduled my appointment with Dr. Cook, I received a call from his clinic. The clinic representative stated that she was calling to inform me that the appointment needed to be cancelled. The reason Dr. Cook was cancelling my appointment is that he is not accepting new Medicare patients. FYI, he is accepting new patients covered by other insurance payers, just not Medicare. I was shocked. I am new to Medicare. I felt that this was discrimination towards senior citizens. This is disgraceful for Dr. Cook and THPG to disregard Medicare recipients. Also, the clinic manager Monica offered no other options for obtaining care. This is poor service.

Dr Cook's style is a perfect match for me. He listens and is honest as well as helpful. [...], nurse, makes me feel like I'm the only patient she sees! Both of these folks are really good at what they do! Glad they take care of me'

Jon-Michael is so down to earth guy, It's like talking with a long time friend yet I only see him once a year. He's very knowledgeable, he's direct, friendly and he uses the time smartly without feeling it is rushed.

Everything about my experience with Dr. J-M Cook and staff has been AWESOME!

Dr. Cook is patient and listens to all concerns. He responds to all concerns with both in depth medical jargon and the layman translation. He is very thorough.

He is the best doctor I have ever had. His nurse is so nice.

I really enjoy my doc, low pressure on "you must do this" but more consultative with "here is what we should consider" (but also not leaving you to feel like you are on an island in making the decision).

Dr. Has always been upfront communicative and helpful. The process laid on as a requirement is annoying but that's not the DR. Fault
