I had a bad lower spinal pain over a couple of decades. I have never seen a doctor until one day in 2019, my right leg finally quit listen to me. I was referred to Dr. Graham and quickly, I was examined by Jammie, NP, and quickly scheduled a surgical date. After a six-hour of microsurgery, I was on my way to recovery. In the follow up visits, Dr. Graham and his staff fly nearly every other Saturdays from Honolulu to Kona to see his patients. I heard they have done that for many decades. I was moved. Now, six years later, I am still on my feet, I owe every thing to Dr. Graham. Thanks, Dr. Graham!

Avoid Dr. Jon Graham at all cost. He will make you paralyzed and when you need help, you find out he closed up his office and moved to another state to open a new office to cripple unsuspecting new patients. Do not let the years of experience fool you. He has been crippling people for over 10 years. I personally experienced it first hand. And going to doctors appointments, I met at least 10 people that had surgery with him and now they are totally paralyzed. Can't even move now. How sad. Then when people need the help, he moves and is practicing in another state. Couldn't even get an appointment (which i scheduled 2 months in advance). The staff called me 1 week prior to the appointment and told me that Dr. Graham said to cancel my appointment (which was an emergency appointment- and made me wait for months) because he rather go to a wedding than take care of his patients. How dirty. And his staff was the one that said that. Unbelievable.

Neurosurgery
I was referring to Dr. Graham, told to get a new MRI and X-rays of my lower back, which I did. Was never allowed to talk to Dr. Graham, was told three times by office staff, that he did not take my Medicare United Health Care Supplement, which I have had for many years, and NEVER had a problem with, for any of my medical care or surgeries. On his website if stated that he took UHC and also Tricare, which I also have, along with my Medicare. I live in Kona, and it would have been so convenient to see him in Waimea. I had heard such wonderful things from friends who had had surgery by him, and so was shocked, disappointed and very confused by the refusal to even see or talk to me. I contacted United Health Care to ask if there was a problem with my coverage, they said no. If by chance Dr. Graham, you read this, I would very much like to hear from you concerning this please.

Dr. Graham operated on my neck twice and I am so grateful for his precision and care. He and his team helped me comfortable pre and post op and my migraines have improved immensely. After both surgeries, I was out and about in a day with no pain. I had to fuse 5 of the 7 disc in my neck and my range of motion is amazing. I can turn my neck both ways and look up and down with minimal effort. I am so grateful for this amazing surgeon. He definitely made my life better.

A surgeon who finally cares
Although I have not had my surgery yet, Dr. Graham was so descriptive and detailed with my injury and how he can fix it and took his time. I did not feel rushed and asked many questions that he answered. He spoke with kindness. I have had other surgeons for other things a while back and most of them didn't give me the time of day and didn't seem to care. I liked his honesty with saying one problem will only be fixed up to 90% and the other only up to 70%, which I am happy with. He is the first surgeon who has told me that a microdiscectomy is the way to go rather than a fusion due to the fact that I am young and able to manage the pain and still work an office job currently. I've been in chronic pain since the injury 3 years ago and I am very excited to have this surgery and overtime, get back to a somewhat active lifestyle.

Dr. Graham did an extensive spinal fusion on my L4 L5 plus spondylosis correction with the Xlif lateral approach method. It was highly successful and I have my life back now. The surgery was in June 2018. When I first did up from the operating table I knew he fix the problem because I had no pain in my leg. I could hardly walk or sit. 10 months later I am fully fused and have no pain at all! Dr. Graham is the man! Great doctor, good person, nice to talk to you, and a genius behind the scal..

Dr. Graham is the man. He has a strong bedside manner that far exceeds and redefines the typical neurosurgeon personality. And I can't believe that he is still going strong! My fusion and laminectomy in L4, L5, S1 was in 2009. I am more than well today. I am just a few classes away from applying to medical school myself (at age 42). I can never thank this man enough for changing and bettering my life with his hands.

Dr Graham did my neck surgery. I was in pain and wanted my life back. He was informative and honest. I healed quickly with low scar visibility. The surgery was such a success that I was able to resume work and provide for my family. Thank you Dr. Graham

After exhausting all other resources I was referred to Dr. Graham. After thoroughly going over my MRI's and explaining the situation in a way I could understand he told me I was a good candidate for surgery. Three weeks later my constant excruciating pain is gone. I was ready to give up. He saved my life. Thanks to Dr. Graham and his entire staff are awesome !

A spinal fusion is a big discussion. I trusted Dr Graham from the beginning! And he was there for me all he way through recovery. Office staff are pros - remember they are their to get the work done not to just be nice to you (I don't like seeing reviews that mention office staff as rude, maybe they were just busy!!

I live in Maui and had to travel at my expense to his office in Waimea on the Big Island. We had a motel room five minutes away and called to confirm he was running on time. We were told he was running early and we should come right over. I waited 2 PAINFUL hours in that office, only to get 15 fast minutes and no opinion without my making another expensive visit to Oahu or Big Island. He certainly could have talked to me on the phone after he got the one extra e-ray he decide he wanted.

I was given anesthesia and cut open only to wake up and find out my ACDF surgery was stopped being the surgical instruments were not sterilized. I was given IV antibiotics and sent home with a neck collar & Rx for more antibiotics. After lots of anxiety and tears shed, I took a risk and went back to complete my surgery. I now suffer in pain with a broken screw & plate shifted out. No call back 3wks after surgery. Refused pain meds 2x. Asked for my records to be sent to a new Dr. not done
