Dr. Jona Gill, MD

Every trip to her office has been fine. She has seen me through several types of skin cancer and is very willing to answer any question I have asked. When I recently had a more serious skin abnormality her office scheduled me the come in the next day and guided me through the following surgical treatments and made the scheduling easy. She has been my derm. Dr. for probably 20+ years and I recommend her to others needing a caring, knowledgeable and skilled dr.

I have decided to leave her practice and find another dermatologist. Although I had been seeing her for several years now, she recently was in a hurry and not wanting to take time to explain things. She even said if we continued to talk, she might have to charge for an extra appointment! I got tired of being expected to keep coming back for treatments and not taking care of more than one thing each time. Since I do not live close this was problematic. My time is important too and I felt she just kept me coming back instead of working on more than one small thing at a time. Also, it seemed that she was usually doing a biopsy on everything and using surgery for almost everything too. She used to burn off smaller spots. I have been wondering if another doctor would have some newer approaches.

Dr. Gill and her staff are the best. Everyone I have encountered at this office has been wonderful. Skin exams are thorough and she takes her time with me at every visit. I recommend her to everyone I know!

Care has fallen off over the past year. Long wait times in the lobby. Dr Gill seems to be gone a lot. During my last appointment with her she was very short and seemed annoyed at my questions. Turnover very high with staff and doctors. Will not be going back.

My experiences with Dr. GIll have all been very positive and she has been able to diagnose and treat some complicated skin issues. I have total trust in her and have recommended her to friends that are also very happy with her care.

She truly cares about all her patients. She takes the time to get to know you and makes you feel important. Very knowledgeable, kind, and caring. I have seen other providers in the practice, too. Everyone has been wonderful. Highly recommend!

I found the practice in general not willing to spend much time with me as a patient and they seemed in a hurry. The receptionist staff was curt and interrupted me.

Dr. Gill and her staff are great! Everyone is knowledge and caring.

I have received excellent care. All my questions were answered and she is very educational. I have been able to schedule urgent appointments as needed within the office.

My husband and I have been going to Dr. Gill for over 15 years. She is a great doctor. She is so kind, compassionate, professional, and genuinely cares about her patients and their health. We highly recommend her.

I've been a patient at this practice for many years. Have never met Dr. Gill as there have never been appointments available with her. The turnover of other doctors there seems to be very high. I've been very unhappy with my care recently. Both skin cancer and pre-cancerous spots on my back and face were missed at my annual skin check & I've since switched to a different derm practice. The doctor treating me now seems very competent and is very nice. I would not recommend Chelsea Derm.

Had two bad experiences at her office. But the one I came on here to bring up was a mole removal that left a huge pit when I was told it would hardly show. It was a cosmetic removal and they made it way worse.

Dr Gill is knowledgeable but treats the staff terribly and thus had a very high turn over rate for her providers. This means that patients don't have one provide they can rely on seeing. I would not recommend this office to anyone.

I was a former patient at Chelsea Dermatology, former as the service has fallen off drastically in the past year. What a shame! My last appointment was a joke...the staff could care less about patients . Two VERY young male scribes giggled during my full body exam for cancer, the doctors are never the same & they leave after a short period of employment. (I had at least 4 different drs. in 2 years). Then, the appointment secretary forgot to enter my future appointments on her schedule.

Dr Gill is an excellent doctor with a very calm, reassuring manner. She answers all questions thoroughly. My only complaint, if there were one, is that she is so popular that it is difficult to get an appointment.

Chelsea Dermatology's primary objective appears to be to bill the patient's insurance as much as possible. It appears that they try to do procedures that have the highest allowed billing and require the most return visits. They don't try to minimize scaring and their attitude is you can go somewhere else if you don't like it here.
