Dr. Jonathan Bellew, DO

I saw Dr. Bellew after having a terrible experience with a general surgeon. There were a myriad of issues with the first surgeon and ultimately I was left with a 2cm hole in my leg and was told to just let it heal. After I saw my PCP she reached out to Dr. Bellew's wife, Karisa Son, who also works at this location and she stated they could help. They offered same day appointment, but I chose the next day because honestly I was scared after my last experience with the general surgeon. Once I went into my first appointment at the Skin Docs, I realized there was nothing to be nervous about. Dr. Bellew is amazing and got my leg back on track. I was advised I could text with concerns, but I didn't have any over the 3 weeks I had sutures in. I was even given a 1 week check up and offered a 2 week check up as he felt a couple sutures could come out then. The rest were taken out at 3 weeks. I felt very safe and respected at this office and appreciated their help more than they'll ever know. I even made my mom's incredible pineapple cake as a thank you to the office, but not that or this review could fully sum up my gratitude to this entire office, and especially Dr. Bellew and Karisa Son.

I saw Dr. B years ago for what proved to be a fungal infection on my face. He prescribed two ointments that cured the problem. So far, so good. But then he pointed to a small bump on my chest and told me it should be biopsied. Well, I'm no doctor, but I knew he was full of it. Still, I felt sorry for him (It was my way of helping him out) and allowed him to excise the bump. Again, so far so good. But then the cut became infected and I had to take a round of an antibiotic, which of course put paid to my gastrointestinal system. So why am I complaining after so many years? Because I've always resented that he would cut me for no good reason. ORDINARY COMMON SENSE TOLD ME THAT THE BUMP, WHICH HAD BEEN THERE SINCE CHRIST WAS A CADET WAS PATENTLY BENIGH, but I relaxed my common sense and let him go for it: welfare for physicians. Gotta pay for that Jag somehow! My best friend (a former medic) had warned me years before that surgeons love to cut. It's their raison d'etre. So watch out!

Dr. Bellew is simply terrific! Knowledgeable, sensitive, informative, he takes time and listens to your concerns. I immediately felt at ease – and felt confident in my receiving expert care. Staff was great, too. Walked away, very impressed with the overall experience. HIGHLY recommend him to anyone looking for a Dermatologist. He's simply the best!

Didn’t have to wait. Very efficient staff. Extremely considerate. Everything was explained and my all questions were answered. I would highly recommend this clinic and Dr. Belles!

I would definitely recommend Dr. Bellew to family & friends. I had made an appointment as I needed a dermatologist after moving to Nevada. I am so happy that I chose Dr. Bellew. Not only is he an excellent doctor as he diagnosed my problem which I had for 6 years & after a few days it is clearing up already- but his staff is wonderful also. I had been to 3 other doctors for same issue & it was never cleared up. Dr. Bellew immediately clarified what my problem was & took care of it. He is an extremely knowledgeable doctor. The entire staff is not only very well educated in this field, but they are all personable, caring & make you feel very comfortable. In addition, the office is immaculate & beautifully decorated. I felt very safe in Dr. Bellew's office, in spite of this period of uncertainty due to Covid 19. I am so glad that I made an appointment with Dr. Bellew as it was the best decision for a dermatologist that I could have made.

EXCELLENT patient care!! Coming from a large city with so many medical schools, I did not expect to find the same level of medical care in some of the specialty fields. I was wrong. Dr. Bellew and his staff actually listen when i speak about the issues that concern me. Everyone who works with him is helpful. They actually apologized for keeping me waiting (20 MINUTES!!) I would strongly recommend him.

Dr. Bellew is hands down one of the best doctors you will ever find. My wife and I were living overseas and had seen numerous doctors and specialists there who were unable to diagnose a particular skin issue. We flew back to the US just to see Dr. Bellew. He was not only able to successfully diagnose it, but he gave us amazing support even after returning to Japan. The Japanese doctors followed his directions and my wife was on the road to recovery in no time.
