A gem of a doctor.
Dr. Crist is the kind of doc that you thought they didn't make anymore. His kindness, patience, concern for the patient, and of course his medical expertise and skill, make him stand out. He explains things clearly without 'dumbing down' the information, gives thorough reasons for his diagnoses and proposed treatments, and answers all questions, no matter how trivial they may seem. Appointments are never rushed (yet he runs pretty much on time for every appointment I've had with him). He promptly answers electronic messages through the clinic MyChart system. Judging by his questions and physical exams, it's clear that he has read through my medical history and looked closely at all the imaging and tests. He follows my progress with PT and makes suggestions. In short, he has all the technical skill that you would hope for in a superior doctor, with a generous dose of excellent 'bedside manner'. We're lucky to have him here in Portland!

I cannot say enough positive feedback to do justice for my experience with Dr Crist. I was in extreme pain from what I thought to be a hamstring injury from training for a 5k. I was referred by a highly respected PT I work with. Was seen they next day by Dr Crist who performed a 40 minute physical assessment, x-rays and concluded with a preliminary diagnosis and treatment plan. The doctor's follow up in person and by emails and phone calls have been one tick above amazing. I totally trust him

Dr. Crist is highly professional, yet personable at the same time. He is a great listener and genuinely cares about his patients. He is easy to communicate with and presents information in "layman's terms" which helps a patient to understand the diagnosis and prognosis. I highly recommend Dr. Crist for those individuals who are looking for a knowledgeable, compassion doctor who is generous with his time and his talent.
