Said Arteries Clogged But They Werem't
Dr. Greene was my cardiologist for several years. He kept telling me my arteries were clogged, which I couldn't understand as I had no symptoms. He finally wanted me to get an MRI. so I finally spoke up and said he must mean my heart arteries were blocked but the other arteries were all clear. HBut he insisted all my arteries were clogged, which was alarming. I then spoke to my Neurologist at BIDMC, who referred me to a cardiologist there. He did an untrasound on my carotid arteries (which his nurse said was the gold standard) which showed only minimal plaque on my carotids that was normal for my age. And the neurologist confirmed from medical records of tests done only a year prior, when I'd had a stoke, that there were no blockages in my brain. I had to change doctors at that point. I can't stay with a doctor that gets this info wrong.

Mistreatment of Robert McKown. February 8, 2022.
Talked at (not to) my husband like he was a senile subject. Announced he was going to change his tried and true blood thinner. Asked him why he was fixing something that "wasn't broke"He sternly replied "TO PREVENT A STROKE"5 dqys after switching to the "new" blood thinner my husband had a major stroke. Hospital changed to another blood thinner. I left frantic messages for Dr. Greene to call me so we could confer about it. He never called. I told Emergency to make sure Dr. Greene was informed. I asked floor staff to be sure to inform Dr. Greene, I asked Encompass (intensive re-hab) to inform Dr. Greene. When a family member called his office as to why he never called they told her it was my fault cause I left my messages on the wrong extension. Talk about insulting! My husbands life has been forever impacted. And at age 85 I became a 24 hour/7 days a week caregiver. Before his scheduled visit his secretary called." to change his appointment because he had been in hospital"Insulting !!

Glad that Dr Greene was the on call doctor
Unexpectedly, I developed atrial flutter - most likely due to anaplasmosis from a tick bite. I had never had an issue with my heart. Dr Greene was the on call cardiologist for the ER when I was admitted. He calmly explained my condition and that he would try the least noninvasive way to have my heart’s rhythm return to normal. I did need to have a cardio version the next day - everything was explained and the procedure went well. I felt as though I was in competent hands.

Respects his patients
Dr. Greene doesn't talk down to his patients and he doesn't make decisions for them. I find him knowledgeable, a good communicator and respectful of how I want to manage my care. I have full confidence in him.

My private Dr suggest me to visit emerson hospital for treadmill stress test. Emerson arrange me to visit Dr Greene first. He talked to me for a few minutes, then suggested me to come back in a separate time for another test. My english was not very good, maybe missed something he talked about, when I was back one month later, I was asked to do a lot more tests an what my private Dr requested.... then I got a big bill which was not covered by my insurance. I think, he should consider my Dr's request first, or at least ask me for more details about my health before deciding for a lot more tests....

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend Dr. Jonathan Greene of Emerson Cardiology. Although I liked him and I thought he was on top of things, it turned out he was completely off-base about an important diagnosis. He told me my carotid arteries were blocked, plus I had a blockage in my brain and he referred me to a neurologist for an MRI. Fortunately, I got a 2nd opinion from my actual neurologist at Beth Israel. Turns out I had NO blockage in my carotid arteries (per an ultrasound on them - the" gold standard" according to the nurse of the 2nd cardiologist) , and NO blockage in my brain, per my neurologist at Beth Israel. I might have had an MRI and gone through weeks of hassle or years of worrying over this. My neurologist at Beth Israel said, "Your doctor doesn't know what he is doing. " This was important because I have had 3-4 strokes all having to do with blood clots in my carotid arteries. So I would need to know if they were blocked, or if my brain had a blockage.

He is Dr. US President. You need to wait for 4 months to see him. So he will see the patient at the cemetery. It is a total joke. Someone should report this practice in a total news paper. They have even redirected their phone to hospital’s central phone operator. They are irresponsible and fraud. Please don’t go there. I am telling this to all my friends through social media.

Dr. Greene first treated me when I was hospitalized for what turned out to be sepsis, complicated by arteriaI fibrillation. I had my first subsequent office visit with him today and found him to friendly, knowledgeable, and very informative. He answered all of my heart-related questions, identified a non-cardiac problem, and established a plan for future visits.

Dr Greene was one of the best doctors I have gone to. His manner is friendly - he didn't seemed rushed, he explained what he thought was going on, frequently stopping to ask if I had questions. He should give a lecture to new Docs on bedside manner. The only con to this practice is they need more front office help. It can take a long time to get through on the phones.

I have a complicated medical history ,with both valve and artery problems plus arythmias. A recent hospitalization left me with hundreds of pages of medical records. Dr. Greene came in prepared and on top of the situation. He gave me his take on things, outlined his role (him: consultant, me: decision maker), laid out the actions he would recommend. and gave me a printout with these steps on it. His staff booked all the appointments. Full service, on top of things. Pleasant and very sharp.

Smart, quick, pleasant, clinically perhaps a bit callow, it seemed (heavyhanded dogma about alc intake, nsaid use in a healthy patient), treated a sophisticated patient as unsophisticated (that's okay, but still); worst of all, left a crucial *not* out of an EKG report, a bad kind of typo. Practice is not the best-run, though; careless, casual about semi-urgent requests, late, plus some frank scheduling mistakes even with change in staff. Not a tightly run ship.
