Red Flags
Dr. Nakano’s reviews are misleading. He comes across like a salesman he was short and assumes that one should know what an oral procedure consists of made to feel dumb for asking questions. Office staff gossiped about each other while I waited in the waiting room. Failed to send proper medication to pharmacy after procedure called the office and office staff acted defensive. After two weeks still bleeding from peocedure. Went for a follow up to be seen for less than three minutes. To add insult to injury their billing practices are shady charging you double the amount they should. I received the explanation of benefits from my insurance carrier and I took the time to review it was then I realized that my out of pocket cost was less than half what they charged me. I reached out to the office to be told that once they get paid they will issue me a check. I bet they count on other patients not checking the explanation of benefits they get from their insurance company.

Couldn't recommend highly enough!
I had a tooth extracted and a dental implant placed at the same visit. Numbing shots don't work on my fully, so I opted for IV sedation. It was great! The staff was so nice and calming. Dr. Nakano was super efficient and professional.

Office staff is horrible. Read other reviews on other sites about front office staff, billing-all true. Go somewhere else if you can.

Dr. Nakano: Communication between myself and any medical professional has always been important. Throughout my life, I have never been compelled to write in this manner but not responding to a single telephone call or email over a period of 6+ weeks is irresponsible, discourteous, if not unprofessional of you and your staff. This turnabout since the consultation is odd and beyond disappointing. I wonder if this is how you treat your patients, let alone a new and vulnerable patient? How am I supposed to interpret such neglect after (as I carefully explained to you) two years of continuing painful dental complications? Such a total lack of response and disregard breaches trust and confidence in your professional demeanor or your skills and your staff. This is the reason I cancel my surgery and it is regrettable as you gave the impression of a concerned, competent oral surgeon......
