I saw Dr. Vigdorchik on the recommendation of a friend and it was a life changing experience. For many years I actively participated in many sports from basketball to marathoning. In my later years, I’m now 77, I enjoyed hiking the trails in Sedona. Sadly, my hip began to deteriorate, and my pelvis tilted, so walking became a very painful experience. When I saw the condition of my hip, pelvis and spine, it was frightening. Dr. V explained my options to me clearly and patiently and assured me that hip replacement using his methods would restore my mobility. I put my trust in him and four months later I’m standing nice and straight and walking without any pain. Dr. Vigdorchik set the bar for me. The Xrays he took at our first appointment were unlike any I had seen before. He showed me that the left hip I had been trying to salvage essentially had no socket, and confirmed hip dysplasia. Despite previous surgery and ongoing treatments, he explained that my hip was as good as it was going to get. I left that visit feeling for the first time in six years, countless doctors, injections, procedures, and surgeries, I finally had answers. I left the appointment feeling a sense of relief and hope. Dr. Vigdorchik and his staff at HSS are remarkable. They run like a well oiled machine and educate you every step of the way to surgery. I was impressed at the level of precaution they take to prevent any infection. On day three after my hip replacement, I did not need to take any pain meds. First week I used a walker the second week a can and l by the third week was back in the office driving to work with no aids to walk needed.Shout out to Mary at the front desk who always greets you with a a smile as you walk in the door. Dr. Vijdorchik knew just what he was looking at when he saw my xrays, a very deteriorated hip. I liked knowing he had ALOT of hip replacement surgery experience. He & his team answered ALL my questions patiently. Now I have a completely functional hip and zero pain.

Between February and November of this year (2023) I had my left hip and both knees replaced. Dr Vigdorchik and his team were wonderful. They were especially outstanding when I had skin complications after the third surgery due to an autoimmune disorder that I have. Dr. Vigdorchik was the only surgeon to provide me with an accurate diagnosis and solution to a painful, dysfunctional hip issue caused by old injuries and osteoarthritis.
