I wouldn’t have anyone else operate on me or my wife’s back or spine. Dr. Lacy and his staff are fantastic. On my initial visit he explained exactly what my issue was in detail along with my options after reviewing my MRI. He described what he recommended and the procedure. My situation was very unique because I am extremely limited in what pain relieving medications that I can take. Because of this he took the time needed to limit my pain as much as possible, to include referring me to a pain specialist to assist in pain limitation and alleviation. My surgery went well and I healed nicely. Again my pain medication issues came into play during recovery. Thank goodness he listened to me and promptly kept in contact with me via messages answering my questions and concerns through this period. Again he was actively involved alleviating my pain with the assistance of the pain specialist.

I have consulted with Dr. Lacey over the past year and he did involved back neurosurgery September 2019. I am very pleased with him his professional manner, carefulness in listening, explaining and in handling my surgery which was 3 hours long. I had a previous neurosurgeon and had blood clots develop in my lungs after the surgery and required one additional week in the hospital. I had the current surgery with Dr. Lacey at Methodist Hospital with my primary doctor and attending cardiologist coordinating the care with Dr. Lacey. This surgerywent well even though it was 3 hours long I left the hospital the third day with no complication and am recovering very well.

I met Dr. Lacy for the first time today and I liked it that he gave 3 options right away to think about before jumping right into doing surgery! I also mentioned that my primary doctor mentioned that a small mass was seen on my MRI and Dr Lacy took the time to go look at those pictures one more time to assure me that he didn’t see a mass! I appreciate that just to make me not worry!
