I was an occasional patient of Dr. Smith for maybe 5 years having been referred to him by the office following Mark McKinstry's retirement. What a disappointment after receiving stellar service from Dr. McKinstry! I say I was an occasional patient because I had no desire to see him unless I had to. He was always arrogant, had terrible patient relations, never felt he was really concerned about me as a patient and didn't feel he was advocating for me. I understand he has now left this office. My experience over 25 years with Legacy Tualatin Clinic has been good with the exception of referring me to Dr. Smith. The lab is great and the other doctor I see there is also excellent. The staff is always friendly. A friend who is a patient of Dr. McAvoy recommended him as a replacement PCP but due to him accepting new administrative assignments, I apparently can not now see him. I hope this clinic's management will improve their hiring, personnel management and administrative procedures.

His attitude was that he was superior me, and he did not diagnose my problem correctly after repeated tests and visits. I give him 1 star for showing up. He ordered tests that were not needed, and refused to consider referral to the proper specialist. After another specialist saw me, and referred me to the correct specialist, he claimed that he cared about his patients!!! We have not been back, as I believe I would be dead if I continued with this so-called doctor. I am disgusted that Legacy allows home to practice, but that is exactly what he is doing, “practicing”.

My experience with Dr. Smith was just OK (I saw him twice). He didn't say anything that caused concern, but he really wouldn't go into much detail when asked. As an engineer I find this to be unacceptable as I really need to know what is going on (or possibly going on) with my body. He also would start leaving the room as I was trying to get my questions answered. Won't be going back. The office staff here was actually great, the next door blood lab was great, and the legacy birth center across the street was fantastic. Unfortunately this office won't let you change doctors once you've seen one, so I guess I have to find another office.

I have been seeing Jordan Smith for 3 years now. I started seeing him at an unhealthy, low time in my life. He has helped me in ways that no other physician has in my 52 years of life. His follow through with me and my health was above excellent. I saw him every 1-2 months for 2 1/2 years and I never once experienced long wait times. He also has referred me to other specialists and if I had to wait, it was because my insurance plan was slow in responding to the referral. I found him to be very professional and very compassionate.

I felt that he was adequate for me as a physician and encouraged my wife to join me with him, after our previous primary care doctor retired. She became disillusioned. I wanted us to stay together, so we decided to change physicians.

He is great, doesn't put up with nonsense and is very direct. I don't see him to be egotistical in anyway. I was a paramedic for over thirty years and started working with him as my doctor last fall and hope to have a long relationship with him and his staff. Who are also great!

Doesn't remember referring to a specialist only a month ago. The specialist saw something life threatening that Dr Smith ignored. Doesn't listen and ignored important information during our consultation.

Execllent physician. As a new patient he read my lengthy on line medical chart from Kaiser prior to entering the exam room. He suspected an un diagnosed health issue, sent me for blood tests. Repeated bold test several weeks later, found the issu and referred me to my ENT. He was right on and I will have surgery next week.

Terrible doctor with no communication skills at all. And apparently he does not really care about his patients or the pain they are in. Would not recommend him to my worst enemy.

I've never waited for a Dr. this long & find it terribly disturbing! He's very unorganized & is late constantly; even left my poor husband in a room waiting for him to come back with the completed apt. papers & never came back, so my Husband had to go out in the hall & look for him, which isn't an easy thing for my Husband to do~he's very quiet & polite! People have busy lives, whether retired or not & this is just terribly inconsiderate~almost 3 hrs. today for 2 supposedly quick med check-ups!!

I have to tell everyone I did not find him the unconcerned DR. I have went through 5 doctors in the last 3 years. Now in some years that was two doctors a year. I am 69 years old and all those other doctors made me feel like she is an old lady and she is going to have these symptoms. They took me on, always told me I will see you in six months. I have always had fend for my own health. DR Smith treated me with the utmost curiosity, he was interested in my health conditions and was see if may

I do not recommend Dr Smith. My elder mother is his patient and he was unkind and seems like he really doesn't care. Hes rushed and has no interest who his patient is, just another patient..... My mother is newly diagnosed with Alz, and has heart problems. We as a family have discussed not to say the scary things like heart failure and such, the Dr has no compassion, blurts out you have this and this. Just cruel for a scared older lady. my opinion is this guys not a nice person.

He has no empathy and had to wait to see him. He also was seeing my mother did not take time to listen to her(note she had a strong Asian accent) she suffered with a lot of pain! All I know is she passed away. I had requested several times to have a translator but clinic & Dr. ignored this.

They have no sense of empathy or urgency, I have a herniated disc, which I saw Dr Smith about. He sent me to a PT which caused a flare up that was very painful, could not walk, sit or sleep. I called multiple times per day for help and they would call back making excuses. On a Friday Dr Smith was off and his fill in finally prescribed some pain killers that helped but that was 3 days later. Similar issues again when I was trying to get advise on how I could adjust the medication to reduce pain.
